I think this song represents how hard losing her mom was for Rosalina, as well as her father, who she could never see again due to the time she spent in space. Personally, this song always makes me think about how someday, some members of my family won't be near around me and that at some point of my life I'll be listening to this remembering how good it was to spend my time with them, being by then in my own path. Hopefully, new people and those who I already know and sharing my time and life with will be there, but still it is so scary to think of a future where everything changes and you don't know whether it is going to be good or bad, and if I will ever be able to confront reality and keep moving with every change. My parents have always helped me in everything, with bullying, they gave me a home, and they never let go off me when I was a stubborn child. I am now 21 and I am at that stage of my life when you realize college is almost over and that you really are going to get a job just like your parents do, damn, you are an adult and time goes by quick. I don't know, I just feel scared of the future, I really am afraid of losing my loved ones... and I hope I am... doing the right thing with them in the present and that I don't get to regret anything when they are gone...

I’m about to graduate this semester earlier than expected. However, despite sharing the same fear of the future, I know I have faith in you. This piece of music gives off so many auras at once, it's so incredibly hard to put it into words. It feels bittersweet though, there's calm feelings to it but there's also a feeling of grief and being lost in an unfamiliar atmosphere. This music alone is enough to send chills down our spines...

I personally feel like it's how Rosalina feels because she lost connections to her family and ended up in space. She always wanted to find her mother but she came to the realisation that her mother was buried under a tree on a familiar hill.... I just feel so bad for her honestly.
