This was when James was at his peak as a streamer imo. Notice how he doesn't do the sub trains anymore, he doesn't really read out donos and gifted subs anymore. He's so grateful and thankful for everyone donating and making the stream a great one. Anyone who tries to show nostalgia, thankfulness, or generosity to James is met with abrasiveness and dismissal. I dunno man, James has changed. I don't know what would cause such a change in him, but he's certainly not the person he was here. He seems jaded and aloof.

Agreed, man. I really wish things were the way they used to be. I missed the wonderful interactions he used to have with chat. It made the streams feel much more personal, like we were all some friends having a good time. Even if chat were a bit weird sometimes, he'd used to be able to deal with them without bringing the mood down. But maybe thats just what happens when you've been streaming for that long and just get sick of it all.

@@OmarTFL Made this comment worried it would just go into the void lol! Just wanted to get my thoughts out there, and call it how I see it. This leaves a pretty big void in my life; I used to watch SSoHPKC and James primarily, but of course The Creatures / Cow Chop were a big influence too. James was the only one I would continue to watch out of everyone else because he was more like this! I have to agree with your last statement there too, maybe its just been such a long time for him that he's been doing this he just doesn't care anymore. Maybe burnout too?

@@RepentInReprise This has been on mind too, havent had the chance to articulate it till now , so thanks for making your comment :D. But yea, I'm right there with you on that. I missed the Creatures era, but Cow chop and 2016-2019 James were things i always had to look forward to at the end of the night where I could just hop on and forget about my worries. Not having that anymore has certainly made youtube feel so much emptier now honestly. I don't think we'll ever be able to find something even remotely similar to fill that hole, but im so glad ive even been a part of it while it was, especially as I've met so many friends thanks to these (especially the VRchat streams) which kinda significantly changed my life. Im betting it might be a burnout thing. He's been streaming a lot less consistently even before Ein started getting sick. I've only briefly hopped in for the more recent streams but it started to feel like he didn't want to be there as much anymore. I do wonder if RP has anything to do with it though. I have no idea what its like on that end but it i cant help but feel things really started to feel different after RP started, not to mention the fact that he now RPs without streaming his POV anymore. But idk, that might be me looking to deep into it lol.
