to this day, Dimentio has one of my favorite teleportation effects in all media. There's just something very satisfying about it, especially for something going between realities rather than just across space. Also I love how the whole game you're seeing the villains meeting on little boxes suspended in the middle of this weird black void and when you get there you find out that the floor was like two inches out of frame the whole time.

Taking this game into account, had Bowser succeeded in marrying Peach in Oddysey, it would have brought about the end of reality. I love hoe this story handles a prophecy. In other stories with a prophecy where "the hero is destined to defeat the evil" it kind of lowers the stakes a bit if said prophecy is treated as 100% true. But this story has two prophecies, one where good wins and one where evil wins. That way, it becomes a battle to make one prophecy true, and I think that's very cool.

The Dark Prognosticus was the only "true" prophesy. It stated what *would* happen: the destruction of hope and everything else. The Light Prognosticus was created to *counteract* the DP, in a "What Could Happen, Hopefully* sort of way. *Hopefully* the events of the LP come to fruition. *hopefully* mario shows up. *hopefully* Mario and Co. Find the Pure Hearts and defeats the Chaos Heart.

But you can also scan yourself, a mechanic normally used to give you hints. Do this with Tippitron, and you get the only scan dialogue that the normal Tippi can't give you. Tippitron talks about how great of a hero you are for saving everything before saying "At least, I think that's what she would have said. . ." These two contradicting moments seems to imply that Tippitron has something of an identity crisis.

Honestly, the reason why there's so much TTYD Nostalgia is that until fairly recently, the kids who had TTYD Nostalgia were old teens and young adults with widespread access to internet parlance and influence.

No kidding, TTYD has the better gameplay if you prefer RPGs, but Super absolutely DESTROYS it in terms of story (and music. Seriously, Super's musis is really underrated). It adds so much more stuff to the basic "go find these medallions/pure hearts/crystal hearts/stars/triforce pieces/needles and save the world" and that ending broke me the first time... man, seriously fuck Blumiere's dad. He caused all of this just because he couldn't let go of his traditions and allow his son to be happy, and then he acts surprised when he turns away from him. And all the little stories that each of the worlds had... some were not much like the first worlds, some were just kind of funny with the 4th world (Seriously, Francis' "I love to complain on forums about games i've never played !" still holds true to this day), and some were just super dark (seriously, they went so far in the last world : Literal hell and Satan, River Twygz's bed which i'm surprised RT didn't show, Luvbi, a child, ceasing to exist while telling her adoptive parents that she still loved them). This game oozes charm (just like TTYD to be honest) and hits you in the feels quite often, while i only had a moment like that at Bombart's wife's last letter in TTYD.
