I've consistently been looking for a Super Mario World cartridge. I finally found one, and here's what it's like!

There's actually a patch for this rom someone made that greatly improves this, both visually and gameplay-wise, including fixing the bizarre movement physics.

@@DoobyShoo I forget, it's been a few years since I implemented it, and even if I did have the link KZbin would probably delete my comment because that kept happening last time I tried to link any Mario hacks. Try looking up "smw NES improvement hack" or something I guess.

I remember first hearing about that from well actually it makes me sad to say this because it was a guy I knew in high school who I wasn't able to keep in touch with who I considered a friend at the time, but anyway he like myself was a big time nerd but he probably was more so than me and had found that yes that NES Mario World did exist and this was when we were teenagers in the mid-2000s when he pointed that out to me. It's really cool to see it in action on this short though that's for sure.

I’m 14 and my first gaming console was a Super Nintendo, my aunt handed it down to me since her and my dad used to play the games with each other. I mainly played Super Mario Kart which was fun and sometimes they would play with me too, we would take turns. I remember having to always blow the bottom of the game so it would process through the console. I wish it would still work. 🙂

I honestly wish Nintendo did make an official NES version of Super Mario World for those kids who couldn’t afford a SNES. Wario’s Woods is famous for having both an NES and SNES version, Mario is Missing and Mario’s Time Machine both have NES and SNES versions, I think a faithful port of SMW with downgraded graphics could have worked and could have been a great example to show off the advantages the SNES over the NES.
