So cool! I’m very curious though, was it intentional to use this specific variety of mutes, particularly in the trombone section, or was this kind of a “choose your own adventure”/whatever each player had on hand? If intentional, super cool way to subtly explore color palettes!

Was definitely intentional! I wanted the sombreness of the buckets in the bones and the roundness of the tuba. The trumpet section is half Harmon and half bucket but doubling each other. So only 2 notes in the trumpets but one of each mute type. Then you get the tone of the bucket but the buzz of the Harmon
