The fact you actually beat this is surprising. This isn’t an insult, I admire your dedication to finish this hell of a mode. I remember sitting at my families Kotatsu playing Super Puyo Puyo and Super Puyo Puyo Tsu on the super famicom we owned. I did play this game a lot but I was never able to finish Rally mode. Eventually I will, but not right now.

Skeleton-T is actually the easiest opponent in this mode. Even will-O-wisp is a more challenging opponent.

I have both versions, they play the same to me, right down to the CPU coming back from the brink of defeat and burying me in garbage puyos after a miraculous chain. I just with the MD had gotten a Remixed version too, so Compile could've added a Rally Mode to it too.

@@Bloodreign1 The saturn version came before the super famicom versions and features the cutscenes and expert mode. Compile probably didn’t feel the need to release an updated version for the mega drive because sega already had a new console and the updated version was already on it.

This version of the game not only has a super interesting mode but it also has my favorite voice lines and ost of this game’s versions. Do you know what version of the game this is and/or if there is an emulator for it? (The only emulators I found of the game were the SNES and SEGA versions, ones I already have available on the switch.)

This version of the game is “Super Puyo Puyo Tsu Remix” for the super famicom. It made the music closer to the original arcade version and added a rally mode which has some differences from the Saturn version. The best version of this game is probably the Sega ages 2500 version on the PlayStation 2 which contains the most content and let’s you switch between the arcade and ps2 soundtracks. Edit: As for emulators, I recommend snes9x for snes/sfc games and pcsx2 for ps2 games.
