Great job on the review buddy. Awesome job with the details. I think this figure is fantastic in my opinion though. I am a huge fan of Grendizer and been watching it since I was 8 years old. It is a bit bulky but still looks awesome! I ordered it last night. Thanks again man!

from an anime fan, the proportions are correct. actually it sands compared to many other gundams and transformers who don't. it looks like a real robot, rather than a piece of plastic junk that falls from one a light stroke of wind

Those Marmits were made by HLPRO also.. some kind of deal they had worked out with Marmit.

How does this figure stack up against SoC gx-45 mazinger height wize? Much shorter? same size? Already have a Metal tech Grendizer so unless this one is going to look in scale with my other figures I won't need it.

It's smaller than the GX-45, comes up to his shoulders. Since you have the Metaltech you probably wont miss this one much unless you want a muscular Grendizer

The proportions seem just a bit higher than they were on the TV show. I think the reason they made him a bit bigger was to emphasize the size difference between him, Great Mazinger, and Mazinger Z.

Chachi, you have become a Grendizer expert! ha I agree with you 100% on your fantastic review. Bandai SRC figures are excellent in a lot of ways but the sculpt on this Grendizer is "controversial" I personally don't like the sculpt. Grendizer was never drawn that way. Those Jumbos in the back look like HLPROs 16" figure.

I heard some rumors from a friend of mine that they are going to release a separate spacer for it latter, is that true???

I believe the figure was designed for use with a spazer so its all a matter of how well it sells i guess. Im just surprised there is no official mention of it yet. usually add-ons are announced during or shortly after a figures release. Im worried that nothing has popped up

I think that the perfect Grendizer would be a mix of the following; top of the Bandai (arms only) and the bottom of the Metaltech. The elbow articulation is way superior on the SRC than with the Metaltech. The Metaltech has much more superior looking articulation in the legs (the back of them); the Bandai has a huge gap behind the knee and the Metaltech doesn't. Metaltech is coming out with a Grendizer 2.0. Can't wait to see the prototype: they will address the poor looking elbow articulation.

ugly forearm and proportions.Metaltech one still scales better with src mazinger z since grendizer is taller.Metaltech looks better even with limited articulation and few accessories.Thank you for the comparative review,erased src grendizer on my target list.
