Ever heard of fast twitch muscle fibres? If they wanted to go ATG they would, but obviously the coaches see more results for what theyre looking for from short explosive squats. Now please dont ever comment something like that again.

Heavy deadlifts and squats don't train fast twitch muscle fibres🤣🤣🤣🤣 Contrast sprints and hang cleans are good for that purpose

He does, but it just takes 1 slip, lands on his neck and he is done. With that weight it would take less than a second - even with vigilant spotters, still risky.

Watched this when it first came out and thought, their training looks pretty rubbish.. Sure enough they got tanked that season and fitness was seen as one of the contributing factors.
