She was built up to be like, the next generation & super promising! …and then almost ended up leaving everything to everyone else - I remember being so deflated by that at the time I’d love for them to go with the ice cream scene retcon I mention in the video, I’d be all for Pan having a similar disposition to Broly when it comes to rage, would make Kale seem like a relevant prototype too!

It’s totally possible, and man - it still bugs me to this day! I almost feel like most *not all* but most of the dragon ball fan base, actually just loves all the cast equally and just wants to see them progress in a good story 🤷🏻‍♂️ …but that’s probably just me assuming!

I would say they probably didn't know how to make a good ssj female design. They did good with kale ssj. Caliufia, her is alright.

nah, toei could have easily done a super saiyan design, after all ssj4 wasn't made by toriyama, it was made by someone else for toei to use in gt. if toei could pull something as cool as ssj4, making a female super saiyan design should have been no trouble.

Pan might become a Super Sayain... but are the villains really that strong that it would be necessary? I kinda think Ultimate Gohan and "Unleashed Piccolo" will be more then enough to take on the Gammas. Unless of course the main villain is Gamma Cell/Bio Broly/Gamma 3/21which might require a fresh Super Sayain...

It’s hard to say, sometimes it’s not even about the strength of the villain so much as the memorable moment it would make - we know there’s gonna be a big multi-man fight, so if someone has to fight the red ribbon leader in his armoured suit (his name has slipped my mind) - Pan would certainly benefit from a nice transformation scene during it to make the fight interesting! The movies these days tend to be more about memorable moments than logical power scaling so I’m not ruling it out! Haha

I am pleased to see Brolly in this lineup. Hopefully he's learned to control his rage and can fight normally alongside his fellow Sayan's....well I'm hoping to see this at least....maybe Goku taught him how to properly transform into a SS1 and 2 at least. Furthermore Trunks and Gotten! Finally!✌️ I feel Beuris will only be there for comedic relief and to eat food. He's too O.P., he could just vaporise the new Red Ribbon Army at will.

@@RaditzFan52 so here’s the real reason; she never got Super Saiyan. The ritual requires 6 pure hearted Saiyans, NOT Super Saiyans. The golden aura that surrounds videl and Pan in the DBS version of the ritual (not in the DBZ BOG movie) - is just for lighting effects because they are surrounded by super saiyans. It’s just an aesthetic choice. (Which is why it doesn’t happen in the Battle of Gods movie, only in the DBS anime) Of course an unborn foetus isn’t already a super saiyan 😅 and they certainly will show it in future when she does, as it’ll be a big talking point/moment.

Which is exactly why the movie version and the anime are different, simple artistic direction. Which is why Pan never turned super saiyan in the baby side story when she was kidnapped by pilaf and his gang & any other stories, …because she can’t. If it was meant to be a throw away “yeah she can do this since she was a foetus” it would’ve been a running gag that kept reoccurring. As I’m sure you’re aware, what you’re describing isn’t the way story points or gags are told in Dragon Ball.

I can’t disagree with you there, however I often try to compare how much I enjoy it’s highs vs it lows, and it seems to me that even when they get stuff wrong, the high points always outshine the lows for me!

100% and it’s really refreshing to read someone say that and not use it as a negative, the show is what it is these days, it’s not as deep as it perhaps once was in terms of long term story telling… BUT it still gets the big grin on my face when something fun happens!
