I really don’t know why he did it to himself, those rom hacks aren’t made to be able to speedrun them. They challenge expert players’ platforming strategies and knowledge of exploits, and Frame kept trying to do it as fast as he could. He does have a few WRs under his belt, but it’s for extreme rom hacks, who even cares? He’s more well known for his freak outs than his WRs, it’s quite sad all his hours wasted on playing was for nothing.

It is illogical to blame a hobby for someone's behavior. They are in charge of their behavior, are they not? Also, ever person's brain is different, so each reaction is different. If speedrunning was truly bad for you mental health, every runner would behave like this. I can personally tell you that I've had much worse fails (such as dying in final castle of New Super Mario Bros. 2 on Top 10 pace (its a popular game with a lot of competition)) and shrugged it off. Honestly, I'm tired of people judging a good hobby from the .001 percent of raging degenerates that do it. It's a high stress hobby, but people are in control of their reaction...
