I’m a fan of both power rangers and super sentai. Both have their own strengths and weaknesses as a series. In my opinion super sentai usually has a a better story, but power rangers has better fight non morphed fight scenes.

I'm pretty sure this episode was one of the reason that the argument of "Power Rangers did it first!" thing started. Sure, maybe you grew up watching Power Rangers thinking that everything they did was original. But the truth is that they basically use stock footage of Sentai episodes and mash them into making the plot of Power Rangers. The only thing original are the scenes that they've put in to either fit the narrative or to add something extra.

Abaranger’s theme has been one of my favorites for a long time. I remember first hearing it during the crossover with Power Rangers and loved it ever since.

Kyoryuger had a new opening halfway through season. I remember watching Lightspeed Rescue's intro as a Kid and automatically honed in on ROBOT MACHINE GUNS AND MISSILES, HOLY CRAP! Also, Chip&Dale, Blast Corps, Primal Rage, Rampage. It's like a 90s kid nostalgia bingo card! Now we need some fruitopia, dunkeroos, and Eek the Cat. Maybe Projects GKR (geeker)?

Light Speed Rescue is so underrated imho, it stood between 2 of some of the most popular ones so gets lost in the shuffle. I put it up there though on top. It also a tad more mature so I think that's one reason it didn't stand out as well as it being a more down to earth theme (though that theme betrays that assumption as it does some neat stuff).

You dont have to be young to watch this. Especially Lightspeed Rescue. Power Rangers is NOT a baby show. It is a kid show but anyoen can watch it. Least the older seasons. I hate when peopel think its a show for toddlers or babies. Its fucking not

In terms of the names of both Abaranger and Kyoryuger, the word play is that Bakuryuu is the combination of Bakufu(Blast) and Kyoryu(Dinosaur), Ryu(by itself is dragon) while Abaranger is the combination of Abare(rampage) and Renja (Ranger). Kyoryuger is just straight up dino ranger as for Zyuden is the combination of Zyu/Ju(which can either be dinosaur or beast depending on context) and denchi(batteries) or denki(electricity/volt).

Kyoryuger’s title fully translates as something like: “Electri-beast Squadron Dino Ranger” While Abaranger’s title translates as “Blasting Dino Squadron Rampage Ranger”

Carter is one of the most BADASS Red Rangers of all time. First episode the monster attacks them in the vehicle they’re driving and Carter immediately speeds up and attempts to RAM RIGHT INTO HIS ASS with SAID vehicle. As for Dino Thunder Mesogog the main villain is on par with Lord Zedd as one of the most intimidating villains in PR history. Case in point he actually punishes his minions for failure by attacking their brains with his mind.

Same thing happened with the original MMPR/Zyuranger seasons. The original Yellow was a guy, but made a female in America. That's why the yellow suit had no skirt, unlike the pink suit.

The Lightspeed Resue song started off good, but got pretty repetitive. The Go Go Five song has Shinichi Ishihara, so it wins. The Dino Thunder song was good. The Abaranger song is sung by Masaaki Endou and he kinda sounds like Kageyama Hironobu in this song, so Abaranger wins. I'd pick Kyoryger over Dino Charge just because I like the Super Sentai sound more than Power Rangers. It's a pick'em between Go Go Five and Abaranger.

Dino Fury has yet to do so and doesn't look like they will. But it is the current season and the mentor is a dino so maybe watch it, I guess...
