The more serious the TMNT, the more powerful and dangerous the Shredder incarnations become. The 1987 version was a bumbler because the series itself was comical and light hearted. The more serious 2003 version had multiple versions of Shredder - Utrom warlord Ch'rell, the demonic Tengu Shredder, and the futuristic Cyber Shredder. The 2012 version is above. The 2018 version was a slave to his armor and actually thanked the turtles for his demise. Small Mistake. Shredder was only believed to be dead when Casey Jones crushed him in the first movie, He returned in the second movie which led to the first live action version of the Super-Shredder.
