I have a 20A and I love it!! I spray at night knowing that it makes no noise...fantastic unit for almost 7 years. I bought it used from a nail salon for 100 bucks imagine that bargain!!

I’ve used silent compressors since the mid ‘80’s. They last forever, very durable and quiet. Just got a new Super Silent 30 and love it! Hard to find silent compressors used, so just spring for the new one, you won’t regret it.

Some older Badger compressors were made by silentair and rebranded Badger I have a silentair with Blick art branding but it's a 20a

I've had an issue with this exact model. I get oil spitting out the air intake filter every time it's done compressing the tank. I operate this with an airbrush at 30psi and im being told from a technician from the airbrush store i bought it from that 30 psi is too high and will cause oil to seep into the lines. I find this hard to believe.
@TheSingingCelebrant2 жыл бұрын
Can one add Multiple lines save changing all the time for different colours to this easily please?
@VinceVellCUSTOMS2 жыл бұрын
Sure you can, just have to add a adapter to it and run 2 or 3 hoses, just that the more you add the more you may run the compressor tank. So if you wanted like 3 lines maybe go to a Silent air 50 since it will have a larger tank.

I have this model. I don't have blue hoses for the intakes. Just rubber caps. Also the air filter simply doesn't fit.

Ya good price for the 50 as well on that site specially if you want a larger air tank.

Great info. Haven’t started airbrushing yet but when I get around to it I know what compressor to look for now. Don’t mind paying for quality, but I don’t want to overpay. It’s very difficult to know what fair pricing is without experience. So thanks for the tip.

Sorry no clue, best would be contact silent air and ask them. I more or less just added my hoses to it and started to airbrush.

get a half-inch extension cord I had the same problem now no problem blowing a fuse or a breaker, heads up you should always open that valve on the bottom of your tank to drain it from the condensation if you don't it will start to rust and smell as it rusts tell your body it could blow up if he does not take care of it

Are you still happy with the compressor? I want to get into airbrushing and I need a quiet compressor... question, should I go with the super silent 30 or the 50 ? Thank you in advance
@VinceVellCUSTOMS3 жыл бұрын
Ya so far its a beast, when ever I airbrush I forget its even under my desk. 30 for me is more then enough for statue for. If you think your will be airbrushing larger items like bike helmets etc then may want a bigger one where you can add more air lines to the compressor.

Do both is and the 20A have a loud air hiss once the pump shuts off?
@VinceVellCUSTOMS3 жыл бұрын
Not on the ones I have had, just sorta a click noise from the pump shutting off. Otherwise any hiss comes from the airbrush.

I have been airbrushing for thirty years. They used to make good airbrush compressors for a a good price and lasted for years. Now they are expensive and not good. I basically draw with an airbrush at low pressure so it runs a lot. Don’t get an oilless one. I got the lwata oilless one and burnt it up in a year. Changing oil is a pain but the compressor will last. Hard to find one that uses oil anymore. This brand is about the only one. Companies have gotten the noise down some but still not good enough. I put mine in a closet or a space like a garage and run a hose to my studio. The noise is not the biggest problem, if you run an oilless one most of the time, it will not last. Three dead ones in my garage. I will try this brand and probably get one with a more powerful motor and tank. This one is small. D
@VinceVellCUSTOMS3 жыл бұрын
I think they are well worth the money, just change the oil every other year or 3 years and should be fine. Good luck if you get one

Nice review!.... I use my air brush for painting 1/35 armor and 1/32 aircraft models. I like the 30 model that you have here. ( I was considering an Iwata costing $500 until I saw this)....So... Question: will this unit allow adjustment of air pressure down to say between 5-30 #? (I never would use it above 30). I probably shoot mainly at 10-15#... Where do you adjust air pressure on it if it permits this? How low will it go? Bob Dakota Dunes, SD
@VinceVellCUSTOMS3 жыл бұрын
Yup the regulator is right there on the moisture trap, I always have my pressure around 20-30 and maybe go down to 10 on super fine stuff.
