Lovely scape! Can't wait to see what you come up with next! Side note: Would love to see you do a video on how best to quarantine fish and plants before putting them in your main tank and what things are best to use especially for us here in the UK. Been having a few issues with a few pests in some of my tanks like damsel fly larvae and hydra and would love some information on how best to prevent/treat these issues as and when they do come up. Additionally, some info on quarantining fish and what treatments to use to prevent common diseases would be awesome.

Lovely scape Matt although it always seems a waste to me to use expensive aqua soil only to cover a lot of it with big boulders. Wondering if there is a way to target the soil on the plant growing areas and use something cheaper to give the boulders height?

Matt, why is my plant getting a brown covering on it?😊
@FishShopMatt8 ай бұрын
Could be diatoms or maybe lack of flow. If it's floats off when you wave your hand above it I would look at popping a bigger filter or a circulation pump. If it doesn't float off I expect it's algae so you could get some Otocinclus or something along those lines. But if the tank hasn't been set up long it may go away on its own.
@martinrelf50748 ай бұрын
The tank has been set up about seven weeks and it has a flu level 407 on

Great scape Matt, Question. You used 2 mesh bags filled with rich substrate aquasoil bags mostly placed in back left & middle of this tank. How do the plants near the front of tank ever get their roots reaching to that substrate? Or they don't, or you use root tabs? Or they'll simply anchor roots but feed from liquid fertilizers used?
