I rewatching after all the DLC released. So I was having a theorical discussion in a comment section about if you can replace only 1 DLC and why. Or if you disagree and why do they deserve stay in? Some People stupid said all DLC should stay and they should have replaced a pokemon or fire emblem character in the main roaster. Which is stupid because the main tag line is " Everyone Here." Yes orginally alot of characters were never might be in one game so they it became too many of them. However the tag is Everyone here means is Everyone here. Then compared to how many new fighters were added in compare to other smash game. No took someone else spot. Plus the inclusion of Echo fighters didn't take much effort to add so they too also didn't take anyone spot. Thus you can only argue for fun about DLC characters since they neither an returning character or Echo character. If you try to argue about any of the returning characters you destroy the main tag of the game.

I think the utter genius of this trailer is the characters they specifically choose to show until the "everyone is here" moment, they choose obvious ones like Mario and Link while also showing what's changed about them, throw in some "wait no really?!" examples like Ryu and Cloud and already it's a banger. What REALLY pushes it over the edge after the "everyone is here" moment is the immediate follow up of Pichu, hence the reaction, as it shows that when they mean everyone they mean EVERYONE is back. It shows that yes, this is the moment you've been waiting for all these years. It's just glorious, simply glorious.

I still remember watching the live stream while on a road trip to Florida. When I saw those cut characters from previous smashes like PT I was so happy but when Snake showed up I absolutely lost it. My parents were so confused when I started to scream in the backseat like a maniac 😂
