The one from Brawl is WAY BETTER then the one from Wii U in my opinion. Not as good as Melee, 3DS, or 64, but still better than Wii U. I absolutely HATE the one from Wii U.

I think Brawl's was the worst. I just was never a fan of it. At least Wii U's tried something new. I don't really like Wii U's but I still prefer it over Brawl's. I like Brawl, just not really the Classic Mode.

I like some things about the Wii U one, But I don't typically like fighting more than 3 computers at a time. I don't really see how the one from brawl is much different from the one from melee, but maybe that's the problem you have with it.

I know these are kind of dumb reasons, but what I liked in Melee's was the certain pattern it had. I also liked how you could fight in team battles with 2 opponents from different series. It's not like that in Brawl because you are forced to fight 2 from the same series. I just thought it was cool in Melee's way. I also don't like where you are forced to start with a Zelda character than Yoshi or DK than Pokemon and the list goes on. I liked the more random order you got in Melee. I also wish Brawl kept the Metal Battle theme for Metal Battles, thank god SSB4 brought that theme back, it made Metal Battles feel more epic and exciting. Sure it's not used in Metal Battles either, but it's slightly different since Metals were intruders but it still would've been cool if they had a Metal Battle. And finally, I wish they didn't remove race to the finish because that was one of my favorite modes, so in Brawl, the only stadium in Classic is Break The Targets. I'm not saying I hate break the targets, but I prefer having more than just that. The characters in Brawl don't even get their own seperate stage, and that was one of the best things about Break the targets in my opinion. Wii U removed Break the targets and replaced it with Target Blast, but Target Blast I think is kinda fun. It would've been cool if they put it in the classic mode in Wii U. About BTT, I do miss the mode in Wii U, but I don't care that much if it's gone since Brawl just ruined it. I know these aren't really good reasons to hate Brawl's classic, but they are why I just do.

I can definitely agree with the Break the Targets thing. Brawl ruined it by removing the character individual stages, and Wii U couldn't really bring it back because there are too many characters to have individual break the targets stages. I didn't like how they removed Board the platforms in Melee either. But the removal of Race to the Finish in Brawl was the worst mini game that was removed, I feel like classic mode lost a lot without RttF. The only reason I still prefer Brawl's is that the amount they changed it in Wii U just felt like they were taking it further in the wrong direction, and therefore it felt worse to me. But I get your other complaints as well, one of my biggest pet peeves of Brawl was the removal of the character stock icons, so I'm not one to judge, ha ha.
