Al Green and Marvin Gaye are the kings of that smooth baby-making music. I saw AL on tour in the '70s, and he was on fire the entire night. Women were screaming, and guys were yelling for more - he just killed it. What a performer and talent. His Greatest Hits Album is a must-have for anyone who loves the magic of R&B Soul Music.

Al's music will always represent my mom. She was in love with the man and his music. I can remember waking up in the night when I was a kid and mom would be doing housework and listening to Al. She said he sang to her and about her life I miss her so much.

There was always music playing in the house when I was a kid. I remember this song coming on and my pops who was a 6'3 250lbs of muscle, long-haired, white hippie running into the kitchen and grabbing up my mom, who was a 4'10 all natural black beauty and dancing. She'd act like she was irritated. But I know it was just an act! Their love was beautiful! I miss them both!

Maybe my #1 song of all time. Smooth song for a smooth reactor. Rev Al, who's an ordained minister, can truly preach. He's the very definition of soul. So many great hits but as was rec'd below you got to do his version of the Bee Gees How Can You Mend A Broken Heart, the original being a classic unto itself. It'll make you melt bro. 18k on yr way to 50 my man 👊🏾💯 Edited because I can't type 😂

I just subscribed to your site. I've only seen two of your reviews Brother Al Green and County Joe McDonald and the Fish. I'm an old timer and both of these are from my time and there is nothing like it today. But, what I really would like to say is, your site, your reviews is totally great and soon much more enjoyable than other reviewers because they talk too damn much during the song. They constantly beak into the video and interrupt the flow You don't! Thank you for that. Thank you very much for an enjoyable visit

You should react to his duet with Lyle Lovett on Funny How Time Slips Away." It's epic. You should listen to the whole album "Rhythm, Country, and Blues." Some of the best tracks are "Rainy Night in Georgia" with Sam Cooke and Conway Twitty. Another highlight is "I Fall to Pieces" featuring Aaron Neville and Tricia Yearwood.
