I appreciate that the set includes Shadow as his aura or “trail” in the games is yellow like the speed sphere as well. That’s pretty smart, to include both characters who leave behind a yellow streak in the set with a yellow speed sphere.

4:51 Judging by the colors and shapes, I believe the "cannisters" are meant to be Orbot and Cubot in their stored/deactivated state, with their bodies and limbs all tucked away into their heads. 8:07 It's odd that the GUN Wing has an animal inside as well, since in the games it's not actually an Eggman badnik and as such is powered by a Chaos Drive, not an animal.

I am so happy. I saw the drill and was INSTANTLY taken back to my childhood when I got the my absolute favorite set, The Power Miners Thunder Driller. I was in a state of excitement and dread wondering if the drill would be like that drill. The fact that it does indeed move just like the Thunder Driller has made me SO excited to get my hands on this set.

i DEFINITELY recommend this set for people who, like me, love cool little hidden details within Lego sets, and this a perfect example of that. I am also REALLY glad they added shadow to this set and supersonic, who is the cherry on top for this set.

3:55 that is a monitor from the sonic series. They provide sonic with different power up like invincibility, extra rings, an extra life or increased speed. That blue sphere is a shield that allows sonic to get hit without losing rings or a life.

This set comes with almost every part of the first wave's biggest set that I was interested in getting: Pecky, an eggmobile and the red chaos emerald, and the only other part I wanted (a game accurate hammer for Amy) comes in another set this wave, so it's a good thing I skipped that giant loop set, because it would have just been a big waste of space

I still can't figure out what the purple box is though. Also, there is a fried egg actually incorporated into the build of the Egg Drillster towards the back as if it's being powered by eggs. XD

Nice to see that Super Sonic has the same side leg printing as regular Sonic, I was worried they'd skimp out on him as they have every other Sonic character aside from the blue blur himself. Also great to see Shadow get a new face print, that’s an unexpected surprise but I really appreciate it. Set is neat but pretty overpriced and a bizarre choice to include Super Sonic in.

Although this has a lot more stuff to it than say the X-Jet, Hoopty and some of the upcoming Star Wars sets which are all similarly priced and very barebones, $80 is still definitely too much for sure. I know why it costs that much since it has more content to it than the Death Egg Robot set which is $60, but I still don't like it regardless and the Death Egg Robot set was already really expensive for how small it is. I bought that set at 25% off and it still felt too expensive which is saying something as I paid even less for Zane's Legacy Titan Mech which is vastly bigger. $50 would be ideal but Lego won't do that in 2024, $60 at the very most would be fine. So this definitely needs a hefty discount to be worth considering. Which is a shame cos there's pretty much no wastage here and everything is good; the vehicle, the two badniks and the figures are the obvious highlights, but even the breakable wall and office lab are fine.
