Some of the engineers for the two cars are even the same. Porsche develops the high horsepower engines for the Group. I think the base and the engine are even identical. The Porsche employees only adapt the engine to Lamborghini specifications when it comes to the finer details. But with the gt models there are no restrictions as to why the engine can be better.

Porsche perfects their stuff. The only thing that is close to being original to Audi, because rest of the car is 100% a Porsche, is the 4.0 TT engine, and Porsche even changed that as much as they could, it's almost entirely redone, Porsche's shortblock isn't even compatible with the other VW 4.0s

You’re correct that people don’t use the systems but it’s not just on the street… they don’t use these systems ever because they think they can do better on their own. Longtime HP sports car collector and Porsche enthusiast here. I also own a 2023 Cayenne TGT special order. These "shootout" videos are really fun to watch. However, one thing for the viewers to keep in mind is that the guys who make these videos are amateur drivers, and often don't know how to really handle the cars which they are driving. For example: the TGT is an absolute beast in every since of the word. This guy in the video doesn't really know how to drive it. In all three of these races he's driving the car in full automatic mode. This beast has an 8-speed Triptronic S HP transmission - meaning that it can be driven in a clutchless manual gear shifting mode. Manual shift is the proper way to drive it if you are drag racing the vehicle (assuming that you're quick with the stick or paddles). Timed right, you can even smoke the tires in this thing on the upshift from first to second - it's that fast. With launch control and manual shifting, the TGT will beat the Urus by 2 car lengths in stead of 1. The Lambo Urus is just fat, pretty and expensive - not fast. Overall - great video.

Not to say that it’s impossible for it to go any other way, but that’s what it should result in with ideal runs. Doesn’t account for any factors like conditions, driver, fuel, or anything else. They are not definitely the same, both of them are tuned differently from the factory. You almost forget that Porsche designed that 4.0 engine and it’s made in-house. They lent the engine architecture out to their other stablemates, but it is their own design and patent. Clearly we can see that that Porsche is pushing out way more than it claims as expected. True Volkswagen has a majority share of these companies, but each brand still uses their own bespoke parts in their cars as well as calibrate and tune, their cars specifically to the brands needs.

I was detailing porsche in AZ this year so I was driving all the 2020-2024 models . The V8 Cheyenne GTS etc are really fast and nice but sales manager told me it’s the same as Audi. He’s not a car guy tho so he could be overlooking something. I feel the power plant is 99% the same but what’s different component wise between porsche 4.0L V8TT and Lamborghini?

Both engines are designed by Audi. However, Lambo engine has software upgrades, whereas Porsche has made both software and hardware upgrades. None of the parts of the Lambo V8 to the Lambo factory, but at least 20% of the Porsche V8 is manufactured in Zuffenhausen. Hardware-wise, RS6 and Urus engines are entirely the same. Porsche V8s are vastly different, especially in the hybrid models.
