I was given a copy of your book for Fathers Day and I have been using your recipes since before I was a Dad. I'm very keen to get out of this lockdown and give some of the recipes in your book a crack. Congratulations on becoming a Dad!

Enjoy your break. I am eagerly awaiting the delivery of the Camp Braai and your book. We are lucky enough to be going camping for my birthday tomorrow (Dan let us out just in time) and will be making this as my first meal in the spun steel camp oven you convinced me to buy. Second meal will be buttermilk chicken. We aren't taking our bbq so we HAVE to use fire only. p.s. we bought our meat from the butcher.

Love your cooking all be it I think I'm as good if not better and you have given me some great ideas for my new predominantly fishing camping channel 'Man And Dog Australia' I have purchased your book which has some recipes I will definitely do. Also thanks for the tip on a really great knife. My fire chef knife arrived today and it is sharp as. Keep up the great work mate. Would love to collaborate at some point in the future if your interested and when I get over to WA next year.

Just went camping for a few days and tried this recipe.......hahaha,epic fail. My bad, first time cooking with spun steel. First time in a long time I am actually watching Fire to Fork out in the bush :) It's getting a bit warm here for winter food, I 'm thinking pizza in the Weber with the Devil's fuel very soon. I think I'm not a good Aussie coz I don't really like lamb... I do however, love Guinness so sticking it into lamb is just pure sacrilege to me.

Hey, new subscriber and only have seen a few of the cooking episodes. I definitely not teaching anyone how to cook, just giving one recommendation regarding the use of low smoking point Olive Oil. Costco, in Melbourne only place I know in the area that sells the 1L Chosen Foods Avocado Oil. Personal opinion it’s a lot better cooking oil, even so for high temperature open flame camp situation. Personal opinion, just wanted to share.

The lamb and mustard pairing is absolutely "normal" - particularly in french cookery for hundreds of years, la moutarde. Borrowed from the Romans before them.

Firstly, if you want my full name, I will publish it. Secondly, It peeves me that you drink beer from a can, without insulation. When you are at home, with your family, do you use some type of stubby cooler? Thirdly, (if that is a thing), I am in a state of depression, so my questions may be out of order.

Thank you Shane, & 'Fire to Fork. Yes, I consider myself a suicide risk. However, I have been a risk for 15 years. Having a chronic bowel condition, that may eventually lead to my death, complications in my 49th year, a family estranged, no friends, yeah, I guess I will probably exit pretty soon.
