Cooked this on the weekend...rave reviews from the diners ! Added some carrot batons in butter honey and pepper and some grilled zucchini. Ribs took about 4 hours but were able to be cut with a fork and the braising liquid was awesome as a sauce.

I'm a lazy bastard, but a pretty good cook, so here is my easy seafood recipe from the Camps Australia Wide Community Cook Book. THE EASIEST & QUICKEST SEAFOOD RECIPE EVER Contribution by: Tex Ingredients Fresh green prawns or scallops (or both) Japanese Kewpie mayonnaise Olive/avocado/peanut oil Skewers Butane gas gun/blow torch Method: Skewer 2 or 3 prawns on each (double tine) skewer so they lay straight. Scallops should be on two skewers or double tine skewers to facilitate turning. Lightly coat with a little oil, sprinkle with a little salt and freshly ground pepper. Grill on hot plate/grill/barbecue etc. until they just turn opaque. Remove from grill and place on a heat-proof surface. Brush liberally with Kewpie mayo, (or even Sriracha mayo). Finish cooking with blow torch until hot and bubbly, eat immediately! If you are in a hurry you can even skip the grille part and do it all with the blow torch (coupla bucks from a hardware store)

Cooking this recipe tomorrow night. Can't wait!! Wish we were out bush camping.... but will have to settle with the back yard camping instead. The only hot sauce we have is sriracha. Would that be suitable?
@firetofork4 жыл бұрын
Sriracha might be a bit acidic for it- if you have chilli powder or flakes they would work well. If not, sriracha would do ok,

I did a BBQ with mates and got through 2 dozen lamb ribs which we put into the bin at the end of the night. Heard this crunching sound all night and then realised in the morning the dog got through all the left over bones. Didn't seem any worse for it so maybe some bones/dogs are different.

Yeah ok, goods ribs but TOO MUCH WORK! Ok, here's the easy way to make perfect (pork) ribs every time. 1. slide a small knife along between the membrane and the bon in one corner, using a piece of paper towel to grip it, pull off all the membrane. 2. Trim the excess fat. 3. Put the ribs in a large piece of foil, pour in two or three tablespoons of vinegar, wrap foil tightly. 4. Bake on a tray at 180C for 1 hour, or a little longer for very large ribs. 5. Remove and cool. 6. Unwrap the ribs, brush liberally with BBQ marinade/sauce, (Stubs or Baby Rays is great), BBQ until nice colour and heated through, brush on marinade when turning, should be cooked in about 5 to 6 minutes, with nice bit of char, ENJOY. Keep up the good work my man.
