Just bought my second Tenere first one 188000km not even a hiccup checked the valves at 80000km and were fine, sold it to my buddy he is up to 192 and still runs like new, Ktm is nice but think maintenace wise it will cost more in the long run, you can not go wrong with this bike, one of my best so far

Oh yea it's a good adventure bike for sure I heard of those bikes handling some tuff terrain and so on and so forth good choice of bike man can't wait to see videos in it
@kennyraceboy10 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I can barely wait either! It will be good to take it where the KLR has been.

Hey Kenny, love your videos. See you come up to Sydney for a rest ride. Can't go wrong with these modern bikes, just what your budget is like. Seems your more dirt oriented, maybe KTM ? Good luck & have fun...whatever you buy enjoy the process... Safe riding mate.

Chuckles1981 Thanks man, yeah Canberra doesn't seem to have much variety in terms of ADV bikes. I wouldn't mind owning a KTM 1190 Adventure, that would be something else!

I LOVE mine! I paid less than 10k for mine and it was new but crazy reduced. And Yamaha threw in $1,200 of accessories at the time. Retailed for around 13k and with accessories my credit union said it was worth 16k.

Nice reveiw. Where are you thinking of buying yours? I paid less than $10k for a new 2013 with $1200 worth of goodies on it (side bags and engine plate). I LOVE mine!

I'm guessing the Versys 1000 was ruled out early because of its road orientation? The yammy looks good albeit pricey.

WillyAU yeah, I guess I'm in the market for something that can handle some decent off road, even the V-Strom 1000 is getting to close to road bike.

I'm thinking very much along the same lines - going from a KLR to either this or the Triumph Tiger 800XCx. For very similar money new, I'm still tossing up how important the 21" front is to me and whether I would adapt to the higher revving triple engine on the Tiger. The S10 engine definitely feels more like the thumper although without most of the vibes. Funny to see video on KZbin of places I know - both Bikebiz and Burrinjuck! Keep up the good work - your videos are excellent.

Thanks! That is a good point you make there, one of the biggest things that drew me to the s10 is the shaft drive, and I'll be keeping the klr after buying a new bike. The tiger is an awesome bike, but it's a little too close to the klr for me to justify, if I were only keeping one id have to go the tiger, but I'm swaying towards the s10 at the moment. Thanks for watching!

I wanted to try thisone too, but it was already sold when I got to the shop. For what I've read and seen (from videos), its the best big adventure bike there is. I've tried Crosstourer and loved it so much that I considered replacing my bike. CT is more road oriented so its really good in Europe. I would not take CT offroad however... I did some "offroad"/bad road test with it (and you can see the video on my channel if you want :)).

That's unlucky man, but as at least you found another bike you like. I definitely check it out, there doesn't seem to be many Crossovers riding around where I live.

There's a new kawasaki versys 1000 coming out soon, might want to give that a look to see if it's any better offroad than the first model, although, I doubt it's offroad ability will be as good as the proven tenere. There's always the triumph tigers and Honda's bringing out a new vfr800x which is supposed to be aimed more at adventure riding. It all comes down to what tyres you plan on running and thus what rim size the bike needs to have to run that tyre type. Good luck with whatever you choose mate, can't go wrong with the machinery you're looking at. JD.

I think for you, a tenere is perfect. When it comes time for me to replace my klr, it will be the 800 gs for me

@kennyraceboy10 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the 1190 or the 990 perhaps. But both are quite pricey hahaha.

@@kennyraceboy ... not twisting the right grip, cos there’s nothing there...and not using the brakes, because they don’t. Brake that is ... Not nodding to other riders because you are too cool, and making stupid amounts of noise cos that’s all you have :-/
