For the people that wondered, the story of the second hack (atleast to my understanding) is that Yoshi committed tax fraud and was on the run. He had gold bars due to excessive money and pictures of a yoshi with mario. At the end toad sais that even though he was mario's friend they need to find him, basically saying that this person had something to do with mario.

Snorlax2988 I do kinda feel like the “isolated, snowbound outpost” setting wasn’t used to it’s full potential though. You arrive and then go on a rescue mission instead of investigating suspicious goings-on in the outpost.

For real though, Trouble in a Snowbound Land was a really good hack for all the exploration and the very competent level design. I also found the story difficult to follow, but it had ambition, and it didn't lose me right away.

Investigating objects like this is such an amazing idea on at _least_ a few levels. It's a great and clever adaptation for Mario 64, but also for video games in general, to physically investigate the thing as a gameplay segment with a visual metaphor like that. I'd love to see this idea as an independent full game

This is without a doubt my new favorite of your videos. You have come so far with playing rom-hacks, in an arguably niche culture; that your eye for level design is like a hawk. The hack at 8:02 isn't filled with all the most hilarious moments, but you break it down so efficiently for what's good and bad. Even going as far to guess the influence from the level design as a whole. You clearly and entertaingly spell out flaws, compliment his highlights, and give a general run down of what constitues as a good rom-hack. That goes further than bias, (sans a few jokes) and is at a whole different level of being able to understand what good movement is this specific game, when people have the tools to create whatever their heart desires. For new and old designers alike, that's good input, and for a reason that isn't like much other content out there; This is my favorite one of my favorite videos on this platform period

It’s some dance track from 2005. I remember downloading it on Limewire. I remember lyrics such as: “I’ve been waiting for this moment for all of my life; step into the light.. the light… woah!” “My destiny’s calling; I hear it screaming my name” No searches of this turn up anything. I got that shirt back when they first came out and the foil lost all of it's color. I made sure to follow the washing specifications and never put it in the dryer, but the foil still was ruined by the second or third wash.
