I am Native American. My Grandmother's malamute had puppies and it soon became evident that they were half grey wolf. She had 4 puppies and they all went to good homes ... we kept a little girl. She was the most adorable rolly polly little thing. She grew up to be part of the family and we just raised her like we would any husky pup. Never had a problem except that she had the "pack mentality". Not an issues as long as you respected it. Grandpa was the Alpha, Grandma was the matriarch and I was the one to be baby sat. That wolf dog followed me everywhere and no one ever worried about my safety because "Woof" was watching out for me.

That is Cool, we don't have Wolves in Scotland anymore, hunted to extinction years ago. There is talk of Wolves being reintroduced to keep down Red Deer and Roe Deer numbers, which are out of control. Personally, I'm not too keen on the Idea, I come from a Sheep Farming Family, and I Breed and Train Border Collies for Sheepwork, (and other breeds for gun work) so, I am convinced that Predation is going to be a problem.

I remember one of the first videos I saw was one of his renaissance bulldogs and lycans getting in a tussle over food and with one word they both came to heel and acted like nothin happened. That may not seem too crazy, but with a wolf dog and a bull breed?? Pshhhhh

i grew up in Watson Lake Yukon , at age 6 i was gifted a wolf dog , he was almost pure wolf , result of wild wolf breeding with a trappers wolf husky cross female pack dog . Pal my dog at age 2 was 169 pounds and 32 inch at shoulder .. he was a very very good companion , protective but good with everyone as long as they did not threaten me . Pal had no dog show in his form he looked pure wolf as with any dog how they are socialized and when matters . i have 2 dogs now and iv had large dogs my entire life i can tell you it is no diff than raising a breed of dog that has live stock work as main breed back ground . you need to socialize them more and de sensitize them to change more than other dogs but with correct handling and work they are a joy to have and very loyal

This has been a great help for me. I just got my wolfdog puppies a few days ago. They're still super shy, but I can hold them and cuddle them no problem. Now the problem is house-breaking them and getting them to obey. They do seem super smart though. I might have my hands too full by the fact I got siblings lol.. Every time I separate them they cry. They're so adorable and I thought they play with each other while I'm at work.

Hello Anneka, Chadde and Natalie, great collaboration. I love all things wolf, lovely pups Natalie. I have followed 1st508th Airborne's channel for a while now and judging from what I have seen of his Lycan Shepherd pups in this video and their development his method works, Chadde could still pick them up and turn them over for as long as he was able to physically do so, their temperament is out of this world and I tell all my friends about his and the beautiful Tammy's work/channel with all their dogs, especially anyone expecting a litter of pups I recommend they watch his early neurological stimulation video's. Nice to see you here Chadde, Natalie I'm off to check out your website and Anneka thank you for another great informative video, keep up the good work all of you. 😃👍 kind regards, Joanne 🐺

My mid-content has become one of the best animal companions I’ve ever had. She was socialized as a puppy and is the friendliest animal you will ever meet. It really comes down to the socialization in the early phases of a wolf dogs life and understanding their unique behaviors compared to a regular dog. I don’t recommend owning one to anyone though. They take patience and persistence. After 4 years, mine has finally gotten over car ride anxiety.

Very important info for breeders I’d say. Perhaps even useful for other nervous breeds. The most common bad thing to happen to dogs is being raised so poorly that they will not be able to coexist with humans because of nervousness or aggression.

Lets not condone the random amateur breeding of wolfdogs though. Chadde has been breeding for 25-30 years so he is well qualified but most folks are not even qualified to own one yet alone breed them.

Yeah there should be standards maintained. Otherwise you get pugs, chihuahuas, or other physically/psychologically unwell dogs.

Definitely agree there with you, but then again at some point he had no experience in breeding them, or the person who taught him had none. If you're going to properly learn and deal with the consequences, it's 100% fine.
