I used to have an RS500 exactly the same as this one one my parents estate back in the 80s/90s before i could drive (i think i was the owners paperboy?) The owner was a big fast Ford fan as he later also owned an Escort Cosworth. I was driving by that point and owned an Astra GTE and he demo`d just how quick a AWD Cossie could take a slightly damp, very, very tight corner in town. He tore round hassle free while i understeered badly at half the speed haha!

I remember when I could have bought a 3dr Cossie not a 500 for about 6k but I went for a series 2 rs turbo for 3k was well clean no rot etc those were the days if only we knew !about 98 99 I think my mates had a Renault 5 turbo raider 205gti 1.9 etc now I’m 44

@@jambo7348 Bedworth in Coventry i do believe, Ford originaly were going to have the 500s in Stratos silver but forget to say & they had finished making the 3 door when they decided to tell them. So thats why 52 were white 52 Moonstone & the rest Black, thats what i was told anyway!

Blacks the worst colour for sierra I had a black XR 4x4 Two big cibbie spotlighs. Shit off a stick , only thing is kept getting stolen 4 times got knicked. Wheels interior every-time and garage petrol none payments. Miss it wish i still had it one if the first to have 4 speakers each corner with joystick to control it. Loved it

Milage seems totally irrelevant with a car like this. Just could keep on enjoying it forever. Another rebuild in a couple of hundred thou. Respray when needed. Unless it explodes it's a car for life and then some.
