I've been using the original Ripcords for years, they're great but can be a bit bulky to fit in adjacent sockets on a USB power hub - these new ones look particularly handy!
@adriansmithmusic7 ай бұрын
Great product! I supported the ripcord on kickstarter years ago and i think i did the first video review of it too. I powered everything from a korg minilogue to a pump for an inflatable mattress at festivals! Word got around that i had pump and i must have inflated about 4 mattresses for people, and had more 95% power left in the power bank!

Caroline said the acid tent was her favourite. *please* someone tell her that the TS-303 pedals that were featured there use 12v centre positive PSUs. I’ve had one for over a decade and hardly used it because at the time the only ones you could find were crappy, noisy, flakey Maplin ones. The guy who made them seemed to be baffled I couldn’t find one in the UK and wasn’t much help. So spread the word!
@myvolts19037 ай бұрын
We came back to that tent 5 times to refill on good music! Thank you! I saw that it was 12V when I was having a go of the pedal - I always snoop at power input, of course. I gave sample of the 12V to the other chap in the tent, with the Roland replicas, but not the pedal chap. I will reach out to him, thanks for reminding.

I want one. Why has it taken until now for somebody to develop a powerboard for synths? Centre-negative pedal boards have been around for yonks. I love my Myvolts 5-way splitters/daisy-chainers for use with my Korg Volcas and Sonicware Livens. However, they do have ground loop issues without the addition of 3rd party isolators. So an isolated centre-positive powerboard would be superb.

@@myvolts1903 thank you so much for the reply- i love the product, would love to get a silent hub. for me the kit form on kickstarter is not ideal because even with all the parts of the kit i would still need to buy different and more supplemental parts to make my setup work. there would be many unused parts of the kit so if i could just buy the hub and then piece out the parts i need, that is more sustainable. hope your kickstarter goes good!

Sorry I missed this to comment - there's a cheaper option now, a DIY kit version of Silent Alchemist (think NTS-1-like built). It's 199 EUR, you gotta back the t-shirt option at 20 EUR to add the kit as an optional add on. So t-shirt and DIY Silent Alchemist for 219 EUR. Hope that helps!

Its a shame. I really like this companies products. Unfortunately due to their absolutely piss poor customer service, I won't ever be buying anything else from them. Specifically, I bought a product that didn't work and upon contacting them about it, they told me they were aware that was case and that they had updated the product to work correctly. They then proceeded to tell me that I should buy the new version of the product, since they got it to work. How bout just send one out to replace the one that you knew wasn't working, and keep a customer. It cost you couple dollars to make it and sell em all day for $40 bucks. Its the little things. Not like they need my money anyway, right?
@markzzzsmith7 ай бұрын
That sounds like the product wasn't faulty, rather, you bought it without making sure it could do what you wanted it to do. They just happened to develop a later version that did do what you wanted. The first version wasn't faulty, you bought the wrong thing. That's on you, not them.
@markzzzsmith7 ай бұрын
Sell the first version, buy the second version, and own the consequences of your own mistake of not ensuring the product does what you need.

@@markzzzsmith funny of you to assume, but yes the item was sold specifically for the product I bought it for. Like i said they acknowledged it to be a faulty product and remade the same product to work in a different version. Pay attention before you speak now. No need to look silly.
