Teddy Lupin's full name is one of those things that really surprised me when I read it, because not only was I not aware that Ted was a nickname for Edward, but I didn't even know that they were using Ted as a nickname in the books to begin with - I thought Ted was his legal name and that was it. So, I just assumed that Teddy's legal name was "Ted Remus Lupin", and was so baffled when I learned his first name was actually Edward.

Ya know, I'm going to make a "The Ultimate it's all in the Books" Harry Potter quiz, because there are some really hard questions you can get out of the books that require critical thinking, because Edward is never used in the books. If they had ever called Ted Tonks, Edward, I would've gotten that right. In a related note, if I made that quiz, and sent it to you guys, would you do it? I'll even provide multiple choice. The name Ted is a result of the Old English tradition of letter swapping. What happens for me is that the first time stamp is showing and I can click on it and it takes me to that time.
