Relistening to Ollivander tell Harry about how the phoenix that gave his feather, only gave 1 other, it got me thinking. Is there a special process the feather has to go through to be a wand core? Couldn’t they take any feather the bird molts to use as the core?
@Corrupted_flesh2 жыл бұрын
I just don't think phoenixes lose feathers all the time, since they do not have that normal cells aging mechanism. When their cells are old they burn and are reborn, not like a normal bird where old cells are renewed and they drop old feathers all the time. So I always assumed phoenixes do not lose feathers unless they actively, willingly give one for the purpose of being used, for a wand or something else.
@maryjoyspohrer2562 жыл бұрын
That is a really good question. Are there other Phoenix cores from other birds? It's clearly stated that Harry and Tom's cores are from the same bird. They are rare, but Fawlkes is not the only one. I would imagine that at least some of them would have to be voluntarily given such as anything from a Unicorn, but what about the Dragon Heartstrings?
@AbstractlyMe832 жыл бұрын

The 12 days of Christmas start on Christmas Day. Before that, it's Advent. Yes it's confusing because in modern society people speak of the time leading up to Christmas as 'the Christmas season', but it isn't.
