I've pumped 20Volts 1amp through servo motors and they hold up fine didn't even get warm after a minute on my power supply

Great video I appreciate the knowledge. One piece of advice that may or may not be helpful at all. Be careful with auto settings on scopes. I’m an automotive technician and have been using 7MS and 400MS scopes for the last 20 years or so. Obviously the 400MS is more recent but still a good decade old now. Anyways I’ve found more than once that the auto settings will give a false wave form. I’ve seen this on multiple scopes. Now granted CAN FD, FlexRay, automotive Ethernet, among any number of other sensors, switches, inputs and outputs, are likely far more advanced than even the most advanced current RC. Regardless I’ve been burned enough that I’m untrusting of auto settings. To prove an auto setting is correct, use your knowledge to set the scope to what you should be seeing, if it matches the auto setting then it is probably good. But this must be done each time you’re testing a new pattern to be 100% accurate. As I said, this may be useful, it may not, just my worthless 2 cents.

Hey thanks for the comment and appreciate the advice. I'll have to play more with the manual mode to be able to change the view.

Servo manufacturer has data sheet on Servo speed and frequency? Since I am unfamiliar with waveforms of servos, I would want a baseline for reference.

@fromthebackofmymind i thought I included a spec from a manufacture

@@RCexplained I may not have focusing on the vid 100%. Stated specs vs actual measurements. Tolerances between 5-10%. Is that the Industry norm as per most electronic devices?

What is your opinion on servo savers?
@RCexplained5 күн бұрын
In what way? I don't remove them on rc cars.

@RCexplained mine is sticky? Its a cheap one though. Is it okay to oil them?
@RCexplained5 күн бұрын
@NijiflianBustock if you are using a strong servo it won't matter so much. But oiling the servo saver will reduce the holding strength of the assembly in a non desirable manner. I would prefer not to but am not able to see exactly what you are dealing with.
