Watching these videos makes me miss my dakota. Mine was a v6 but was worlomg on swapping a 5.7 with twin turbos. But life happened maybe might get one again since life is more stable

Thanks brother! Yeah I grew up a Honda kid honestly! Fastest car we’ve built so far was a 607whp Honda S2000 and I’ve had several boosted del sol cars. Had a 2000 civic SI with Jdm b18c as well. Turbocharged B16 swaps, b20 vtec Frankenstein motors. I’ve done it all haha

Get ahold of Hughes Engines and get a built long block. That motor will destroy itself with all that boost. Love the truck I have a 98 R/T it’s a blast.

i love fast an recent an easy, tonite we have grudge run nite at eatonton drag strip,an outlaw track,but good timers etc,an you get a time slip..i aint been since 2005 so,i,ll be here tonite,a dangerous drive cause of deer..i gotta thing to scare deer away,an installed it backwards accidentally,an now i go down the road,an a herd of them chasing me an my r/t dakota..lol

If you take the 5.9 out, I'm probably gonna stop watching. It's the reason why I watch honestly. Port, polish the heads, swap out the valves and valve spring, do the cam, and put a roots charger instead of a centrifugal. Those heads, the pistons and the block, come stock with ability to handle 15psi of boost, or a 200 shot of gapple juice. Don't swap the motor. Give it a chance.

@@slim56 I didn't see anywhere where he said the engine stays indefinitely. Or he's Definitely going to swap. Mainly my comment was to pursuade him which path to take. I'm just one fuckin' dude, he has zero reason to listen to me. He can do what he wants. Yeah, and he's barely touched the surface of what he can do to this motor. All I'm saying is nobody really gives them a chance. They're fantastic engines.
