Lol, did you just hot glue that fan to the print head for that test?

Yup! Never opposed to a quick and dirty test to prove out a concept! 😋

@@DesktopInventions I treat mine like it’s made of glass because I’m new to printers and don’t really know what I’m doing.

Have you looked at the hero me gen 7? It's its good for millions of different printers and parts combinations and fully modular. Also has great ducts designed using fluid dynamics

Yea I did look at that in the past. Might consider it in the future at some point. Well documented print head!

Idk why theres so humongus fan ducts out there. My stock ender 3 max can print up to 70 degres overhangs without too much drop in quality while my ender 3 with a similar style setup to the stock max limit without supports is 65 Degres or so

I'm not sure about others, but my experience started with trying to make a quieter printer.

Not exactly what you are looking for since it has only one 5015, but I just remixed a Satsana to work with Orbiter v2 and a Dragonfly. KZbin is blocking my link but look on thingiverse for thing #5801336. For the kind of print I do one 5015 is more than enough, I don't see the need for 2. Give it a try and let me know if you like it. With the 20mm noctua fan (advised) it is so quiet I can barely notice it when I'm working right next to it. I also use a generic 5015 24v which is reasonably quiet. I only go above 75% duty cycle on the fan if I'm printing challenging overhangs, but most prints it is 50-70% duty cycle.

Nice design! Should be a bit lighter and more simple than my latest Robo head design. I may have to put it on the to-do list!
