It's really surprising, looking back, just how few traditional 2D Zelda games there actually are, so it's always cool to see a game in that style

First game is $3.79 on Steam right now, so I picked up both of them. Thanks for bringing them to my attention.

I had just finished The Witcher 3, and this inspired me to start playing Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King. It's awesome so far! Thanks for the video!

It's good to see a game for just being a game. Nothing too skilled. Have fun playing it. Sounds like a great title to try out.

I loved the first game! Didn't know there was a second one. Another one for the list then - I'm looking forward to it. I remember in the first one, I ended the game letting bees loose on everyone. It was hilarious.

Thanks for the impressions video Derek. This game looks like a lot of fun. I love A Link to the Past.

The first blossoms tale was so charming, I will certainly need to make time to play the second game. It looks pretty good still

I hope Limited Run makes a physical of this game. Perfect for LRG! Oh my, looked it up! It is getting a physical release! Yippy!

Thanks for the recommend. I bought both. I hate dlc only, and I would prefer a physical copy of it...but sometimes you just can't help it.

The stamina bar sounds like the inventory from A Link Between Worlds to me. Still a good idea though.

Something's up with the mic, when you face away from it slightly it's hard to hear a bit, otherwise great video as usual :)

Yeah, I've changed up my room yet again, tried something a little different to record in a different spot, but my audio got a bit wonky. Tried to fix it in post but couldn't really get much better this time around. Next one will be better though! :)

Looks good. Minish Cap comparisons are good a start (except for when I realized the seashells in Minish Cap were for nothing more than pointless collectibles...) How linear is it? One weak point about Link to the Past, after all these years, I know the game too well to have any fun replaying it anymore.
@SuperDerek2 жыл бұрын
This one's pretty linear too, there's a specific order to do things in, though you can go pretty far from the beaten path and explore _some_ areas before the story calls for it, though like aLttP there are barriers some items are needed to cross. :)

Honestly the art style is a weak imitation to me but it looks well made otherwise and the price is low on steam. Crosscode is a Zelda-like (or Zelda/SoM-like hybrid) that I enjoyed quite a bit.

I have no idea why they made you walk slower compared to the first game. It ruined the experience for me.
