It’s one die roll per beach landing hex as per 24.2.1.

Question....I haven't read the rules yet. At the 17 minute mark, can you do a breakthrough attack based on a DR2 result?

No. The stack cannot perform a 2nd Breakthrough Attack if the (first) Breakthrough Attack result is a DR2. If it would have been a DS or D4 result, however, it could perform an additional Breakthrough Attack.
