Lyrics:
It's late in the day,
I'm thinking of you,
Things that you say,
So long, so long from me
It's late in the day,
I'm talking to you,
Hear what I say,
So long, so long from me
All the time I've thought of you,
In an ordinary way,
We'd slip off down the oily way,
And all I really have to say,
Is people pass along the way,
And thoughts of you and me again
I lay on my bed,
Searching my mind,
Lighten my load,
So long, so long from me,
I sleep on the road,
Dream of a sound,
Coming my way,
So long, so long from me
All the time I've thought of you,
In an ordinary way,
We'd slip off down the oily way,
And all I really have to say,
Is people pass along the way,
And thoughts of you and me again
And all the time I've thought of you,
In an ordinary way,
We'd slip off down the oily way,
And all I really have to say,
As people pass along the way,
I close my eyes and turn away,
And all the time I've been with you,
In an ordinary day,
We'd trip off down the oily way,
All I really have to say,
Is people pass along the way,
And thoughts of you and me again.

It's a great album, music can be therapeutic, I think because it takes you out of yourself, or at least takes you somewhere you wouldn't be otherwise. Sorry you were bullied, kids can be very cruel, it's no reflection of the person being bullied :)

Ben Wherlock It’s a good point. I went to see Coldplay in concert in 2005 at Crystal Palace and Supergrass were supporting them. I couldn’t believe my luck, but I remember thinking ‘why the hell are Supergrass supporting Coldplay? It should be the other way around!’ I think I was more excited to see Supergrass than Coldplay!! There were so many good indie bands in the 90’s. I loved all the bands you mentioned, plus: Ocean Colour Scene, Kula Shaker, Cast, Radiohead, The Bluetones, even the Seahorses were quite good! I would even give a nod to The Lightning Seeds, Space and The Supernaturals. Can anyone point me in the direction of some decent guitar bands from the last decade?

To think these guys were early 20's when they made these songs (like most bands then) the current crop haven't the emotional, critical intelligence to write well balanced, creative music. Internet and Social media has killed creativity in our age, the kids today just don't know how to compose, play. Live music is dead, Spotify has killed real free music as it's about clicks not talent. Music is kind of dead, the 90's, Early 2000's was it, and to be young then to appreciate it makes me happy.

As an Anglophile, I loved Britpop and even got a chance to meet them backstage following a gig in Atlanta in the late 90's. Gaz and the drummer were assholes, but the bassist was a really nice guy. I later saw Gaz traversing downtown with two groupies on each arm. As I recall, the opening act were The Coral, who never achieved lasting success. It was their first time in America, and they were appropriately starry-eyed. And quite nice and personable. And, they were about my age at the time.

Even Danny gushed over him, said (about the time when they first met in school) that he was "georgeous" and "you couldn't fucking miss him". He has a very unique face and face expressions that is appealing for men and women. He was even offered model jobs for big brands but they said no and that was wise.

Man Supergrass and Oasis were some of the best bands to ever come from the 90s.

Smampop's comment is why I love being able to read a foreign language, especially about a song I love so much.

Not only do you have the incredible unlikelihood of three guys who play, sing and write amazing music together... but what are the odds they can all pogo?

What I have learned today about Supergrass ? They rock this popsicle stand all the way !!! People should give them credit to the songs they make. They are still in Bands. People should not be too quick to judge.
