SUPERHOT VR new controls

We decided to tweek SUPERHOT VR controls since the previous ones for some people did more hurting than helping ;)
Hopefully this video will help you get accustomed with the new setup.

The simulation makes use of limited space to raise your safety level though short movement within these borders can be made in few simple steps: 1. Rise one of your feet - the exact height to which you raise the leg is up to you though we propose to elevate it just a bit so that the traction is virtually non-existent. 2. Move the foot on the horizontal plane mid-air to the point in space just above your destination on the ground. 3. Lower the foot until it touches the ground. IMPORTANT: make sure you have shifted your weight enough to steadily stand on the ground. Follow steps 1 to 3 with the other foot you have, possibly setting it just near the first one. Should you achieve that, you'll move your overall position. In order to make a larger movement you can try setting the other foot further within the space, allowing its movement to cross the axis of the first foot you have set. Should you keep following the instructions this way alternating between your leges, you'll succeed in walking. If you keep doing this with more haste, you'll succeed in an activity we have labelled as "running". Running is not encouraged while playing SUPERHOT VR though.

@@SUPERHOTGAME Just got the game because I enjoyed the regular version soo much. But there is NO option to move in-game? I mean with the controller? I'm resticted to move in a small space, so I basicly just end up at the same space, flailing my arms around to make the enemies walk up to me, and then punch 'em, as I'm almost never able to pick up weapons.

@@stefanejegod8644 Indeed, SUPERHOT is a static position game designed to make sure none of our players will experience motion sickness. The weapons should fly towards you (as they tend to in action movies) and if you are unable to reach them, try and put your hand against the virtual play area and grab pointing your hand the the weapon ;) /Paweł from SUPERHOT

How do you restart the game from the beginning ? How does one get to that computer room area during the game ? I'm 12 levels in and haven't played it in 6 months and just want to start all over. After an hour of pressing buttons, I couldn't figure out how to restart the game or hell I couldn't even get a single menu up.

SUPERHOT VR is meant to be a coherent story with a couple of twists so in order to ensure maximum immersion you'd get an in-game option to reset game after finishing the main storyline (which makes sense in-game - check for yourself). @@SUPERHOTGAME Thanks for the reply, I'll try to delete my game save manually I guess. Just want you guys to know that this "you can't restart the game because immersion" means you lost me as a customer. I'm going to have to make sure all future games I buy are not setup like SuperHot. I've been gaming since the early 80's and I don't think I've ever heard of a game that you couldn't restart with a simple in-game menu. How bout this idea, next time you guys decide to make a game that you can't re-start, how about letting the user know this bit of information. I spent waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time trying to figure out how to restart the game, I'm 50 years old, us old fucks have a hard time with this kinda stuff. Let me also give you my situation and that might help the devs in the future. I bought SH about 8 months ago and got about 15% of the game completed, and then I put it away and haven't played in since 8 months ago. So last night my brother and sister bring their 8 and 9 year old kids and they wanted to play SuperHot. Bitch is the game is 15% started already so none of us could even get past the very first guy. I'm tryin to figure out what button does what on the move controllers, and of course dying 5 seconds into every re-try. The poor kids did even worse as they've never played the game ever. So then we spend the next hour trying to figure out how to start from the beginning. So I give and Google it and I find thousands of people with the same issue as I'm having. We just want to start a new game, yeah yeah Immersion and whatnot, but damn guys, give us the option to restart to the damn game.

I got to a point in the game where some glowing hands are shown on either side of me and the display looks like it`s telling me to press the grip buttons, or maybe the trigger, or maybe the grips and the triggers. Thing is I tried pressing everything I could think of and nothing works. Can anyone tell me how to progress the game from here?

I haven't been ablet to play VR for months, started ReVive and SuperHot since it's my favourite game and supported it early. Now the controls are changed and I can't change back? This is crazy, surely there's a way to change controls back to original scheme which I have like 100 hours on?

In Steam you can go back to old control scheme by right clicking on SUPERHOT VR, going to BETAS tab and there selecting it from drop down menu.
