Don’t buy into the hype of a lot of these boutique chemical brands. Been using Dark Furt for 2 years and always get amazing results. I’ve tried a bunch of other products that are recommended on KZbin and I’m always disappointed with performance.

@@hawke525 the biggest disappointment is when you see these products in videos they seem to work amazing (this is also partly because people want to show good results for their own detailing work/ business). Then when you get the product in hand and try it on a vehicle yourself you are just disappointed with the performance. BB for example works amazing for maintenance washes or for a diyer cleaning their car every week but as a professional I find it to be week and not cost effective compared to Dark Fury which gets almost no hype in the detailing world compared to a lot of these new boutique brands as I call them but dark fury works amazing every time you use it. It’s also way more dilutable so as a professional, it makes way more sense in every way compared to BB that is massively hyped online. This is also just a massive result of influencer marketing. Everybody wants to be an influencer right now, regardless if they are getting paid from the company or not so they will give super good reviews and positive words to brands that do a lot of it in hopes of getting some sort of sponsorship or free products. I will typically end up trying these brands and then will quickly go back to what I was using before. I still use a lot of these boutique brands on my personal vehicles but for my average detail client I use what gets results and makes the most sense on a business level.

Whatever wheel cleaner you wind up going with, in order to help use up the Brake Buster, you could clean with your choice of wheel cleaner like Dark Fury or Adam's Wheel & Tire then after the wheel is clean and while wet, hit the wheel with a quick coat of Brake Buster and then rinse to help avoid the rust on the rotors.

I got BB for $22 a gallon a year ago. Now it's $30, for something that's like twice as weak as Adams. Adam's goes on sale for $25 I think sometimes

Adams is too strong. Higher chance of staining and with this one you can use it as a bug remover as well @@The1Music2MyEars

Adams it's over $40 a gallon doesn't really matter what the sale price is. The base price is over $10 higher than dark fury. AND ON TOP IF THAT 1 gallon of dark fury diluted 4:1 ( what is recommended) gets you 5 gallons of chemical.

Dark Fury also has the potential to stain/damage wheels so I haven't tried it yet. Rn I am using Adams wheel and tire cleaner dilluted 1:2 in a IK Foamer.

I've heard rumors of that but I haven't had issues myself (thus far) nor from other users. Could possibly be the type of wheel finish or just direct sunlight. Not to mention the temp of the wheel at the time.

Dark Fury will also stain paint if not careful

@@DetailsNMe dark fury is for paint. Works amazing for removing road film and bugs. Like any product if you leave it on a surface for too long, it will cause damage. Personally, I’ve never had a single issue with dark fury, and I’ve been using it almost daily for two years.

@@jamiesdetailing do you spray down the vehicle first with water before using Dark Fury? And how long do you let if dwell before spraying off? Use as a prewash too right?

My biggest issue is the smell. I've read dark furry has caustic stuff in it. I've been using a concentrated foaming wheel cleaner that makes 4 gallons with one bottle. Have you used auto fanatic products?

I have not regarding to Auto Fanatic. The smell for Dark Fury was not an issue for me.

the best degreasers in the market absolutely need to use caustic chemicals to remove organic material, chemical ph neutral products are for touch ups/maintenance, if you truly want corrosive go play with Hydrogen Peroxide higher than 3%

Dark Fury is very good wheel and tire cleaner. Mix it 4:1. It's dark colored because of the chemicals in it not because of dye. No dye which is why they say it is safe for paint and windows. I use it all the time and works great. Even better on bugs. Love this stuff and everything @SuperiorProducts has! For cheap and great to work with.

what do you think about Dark Fury 3-1 Ratio (8ozFury 24ozWater) 32oz total ? 4-1 I end up having to scrub multiple times

@@KingCuba0731 Foamers are nice but you can spray and agitate with a brush, then let it sit for a minute. Though there are decent, cheap foamers out there I believe.

Never tried brake buster, but i love p&s pearl shampoo. My go too wheel cleaner is meguiars detailers wheel and tire , the red stuff super good a getting brake dust and actually cleaning the tires, adams wheel and tire is good but kinda high and idk if the gallon jugs are concentrated, the megs is. Going to try dark fury when i run out

Admittedly, I've never used Break Buster, but I am an AVID fan of Dark Fury!! So much so, that I won't use anything else for cleaning my wheels, door jambs, and bug removal. Dark Fury ROCKS!!!!

I just detailed my wife's car and mine, I used dark fury on my wife's wheels and they had not been cleaned in 2 months, really nasty. Two applications on the tires and one on the wheel and they were perfectly clean. I used brake buster on my tires and wheels and didn't see any difference. Dark Fury is what I will be using from now on. It's way more cost effective.

I just picked up the entire lineup almost of superior products just did my first entire detail with all the products very impressed with them and they are all cost effective and dilutable im going to keep using full time 13 items from them 300$ 11 gallons and 2 pts of all strong!

I'm not a pro, I'm a weekend warrior who only does my own cars. I've been using P&S Brake Buster, and several other P&S products, for years. When I run out I'm going to try Dark Fury.

Never tried Dark Fury. In my detailing business I use Brake buster but I use it at a concentration of 2:1 not 4:1. Dark fury seems like a good product, it really depends on the price obviously. Both of these products are not good enough at 4:1 is there is still browning remaining on the wheels, so you would need to tweek dilution until that is no longer and issue then see which is least expensive to use.

I've used DF when I first started detailing and noticed that at recommended dilution I'd still have to follow up twice or more especially with big off road tires. At higher concentrations it dries to quickly and can stain driveways and wheels.

Any chemical can do that gotta be careful with making it concentrated. Adams wheel and tire cleaner works amazing but is very strong and can stain if your not being careful

If I'm not mistaken, I rmemeber seeing a Rag Company video where they say BB has rust inhibitors. This may be the reason why.

I’ve never used dark fury but I’ve used brakes buster and I’ve had tires come out super brown after letting it dwell and aggressive agitation. Sometime cleaning 3 times still having the tire brown. I’m thinking about trying to use something like brake cleaner or gasoline. Cheap products that will melt off the oxidized rubber or road tar

Brake cleaner will kill your clear coat. Try Iron remover. Dark Fury Or a 2 step wheel cleaning process using Acid then Dark Fury.

@@jamiesdetailing thanks for the tip. I just mean on the tires themselves not on paint or rims. I was also joking because a lot of shelf products are pretty weak for that brown tire oxidization. Dark fury looks like it worked good for you

Add iron remover to the brake Buster and dont dilute it.
