Almost ironic that you spent this episode wearing a shirt that says "I don't need therapy, I need to go camping" because your videos are therapeutic to me. The photography is stunning and your calm narration as you bring us along for your adventures... totally beautiful. I really appreciate your content Slim!

Besides the comfort watching a Slim Potatohead video gives, I want to express respect for the work done to film it all. Like kayaking through streams, filmed from aboard and from ashore.

Oh Slim, it was so wonderful seeing how you produced a vlog into a masterful documentary. I have missed your videography and this one did not disappoint. You are so creative! I'm glad that you have overcome the fear of water and also glad that you shared that info for others who may have anxiety being on the water. That Burl you showed attached to the tree was phenomenal. Again, thanks for sharing your time and talents with us. You definitely don't need to justify to anyone what you accomplished in this video. Refreshing time with you.

Slim, it was fun watching you paddling Lake Superior. I can't get over how clear the water is. I grew up Downriver from Detroit. Lake Erie had many years of polluted water. It has since come back from threats of being a " dead Lake". However, Lake Erie is a very shallow mud bottom lake, so it is never clear to the bottom. I have plans to camp along Superior in September. Thank you for a glimpse of the Greatest Great Lake.

2nd time we missed you Slim, passing through the Soo area. Superior is a very pretty area, lots of places to explore, hike, hunt, & fish. The campgrounds are great, large lots, with the Agawa/Pancake beach shoreline being 2nd longest in Ontario. Canouing and paddling the eastern shore is grand, but one has to be very carefull of wind and wave action that can change quickly, upon its rocky shoreline. Our parents tented/trailered/camped us all over this area when we were small kids. Love the area, Swims are always, well we say, refreshing! and the fall colours are excellent.

When I was a kid, my family went to Canada and also went to Lake Superior. I was shocked to see the stones instead of beach sand. The lakes around Michigan have beach sand... Your video made that memory alive. Thanks for that, it was a great time indeed!

Absolutely beautiful. Having worked for a Canadian company based in Quebec, I have had the privilege of coming to Canada many times, though sadly not to the lakes. Most of my visits have been in and around Montreal, Toronto and Quebec... Amazing places though they are, I couldn't help but feel I'd missed out on some of the real treasures...and your video's have proven I was right. I am lucky that my ongoing profession means I get to go places all over this country, and I do a lot of camping. It's amazing what you discover in the most remote of places.

So cool to see you overcome your fear! Loved your whitewater rafting experience. Although I have spent a ton of time on and under Lake Superior I am still in awe when the lake is FAC (flat as# calm). Sure seen the other side when the lake gets angry too. Life jackets on this lake are important so they kind find the body. You will freeze to death if you end up in the lake away from shore. Superior is the largest fresh water lake in the world by surface area but Lake Bakul in Russia is generally considered the largest as it has more fresh water and is actually way deeper. Thanks for doing such a great job on all your videos.

I have camped in that same campground by the water about 30 years ago. But I only remember it being about 5 dollars! But it was far less developed, no water to use except the lake, no new bathrooms, showers, etc .... Beautiful. Amazing trail to the pictographs. We accidentally donated a camera lens to the water. Thank you for this wonderful reminder. We camped all the way around Lake Superior that year. Lake superior is amazingly clear. So glad you overcame your fear so you can so enjoy this. I live across Lake Superior - Pre Cambrian Bedrock there too!
