Great video. Never fished there before. Is water ok now? April 19, 2023…is Mcquade a good place to go with small craft and fish in that general area now?

Every year you do a video on this season, and it has now become a bucket list item for me. Love it.

How far back are your stick baits behind your boards and can you catch them just free lining? Thanks

Great channel guys! What is the limit on Coho?
@stevehenry9053 Жыл бұрын
Chinook, coho, Atlantic, and pink salmon: 5 in aggregate. All must be at least 10 inches in length. Only 1 may be an Atlantic salmon.

Great video! You said you were going about 1.9-2.0 and normally troll at 2.2-2.4 in warmer water. Do you ever troll upwards of 2.8-3?
@onsr032 жыл бұрын
Great video. Looks really cold. A couple of questions: 1 - Do the Coho stay high in the water column as they move up the shore later in the year? 2 - Do you tend to stay close in to shore later in the year as you were here? Thanks for the great vid. Please keep them coming.
@SuperiorAngling2 жыл бұрын
1. We have noticed they will stay somewhat higher yes, but come July and August - 20-40 feet down seems to be better. 2. Yes, shoreline acts a a great natural barrier for these fish.

@@SuperiorAngling Thanks for the swift reply! If you would indulge me for a couple more questions - 1 - when fishing with charter captains (from Duluth) later in the year I find they tend to use spoons and rarely crank or stick baits. Do you find spoons to be more productive as the water heats up and the sun goes higher? 2 - In summer months and off Agate Bay and/or McQuade Access I have usually seen most boats out in 100-200' of water. I assume they are mostly targeting trout out there. If true is this because the salmon are more scattered and harder to fish or something like that? Really do appreciate the great content guys. Thanks.
