Chupper Lek, poor boxer, only retreats. Encountered a tank and cheated on his weight and he almost didn't survive. For me, it's not considered a champion. Like a boxer who is afraid of the whites of his eyes, it makes Thai boxers look like they're shoddy. Look at the picture of Buakaw being stolen because the boxers threw punches hoping for results from the fight. It's embarrassing, I think.

When People give respect to Takeru I want to give respect to Superlek much more. -He fought the best kickboxer in the world with less than a month to prepare. (Unlike Takeru Yes He didn't know that he would face Superlek, but he had been preparing his body to the best condition for a full year to face Rodtang.) -He fights under kickboxing rules, not Muay Thai. It's true that Superlek is a kickboxing champion. But Superlek's best weapons are elbows and Clinching Fighting in kickboxing limits Super lek's dangerous weapons. -He went to fight in Japan in January where the weather was very cold. It is well known that Thai boxers Often have poor performance When going to fight during the New Year in Japan Some were even unable to throw out punches naturally because the weather is too different from that hot weather in Thailand. -He accepted an offer to fight in Takeru's hometown Japan. Even though he himself is the champion and Takeru is not ranked in ONE. Normally a boxer must have ascended in order to meet the champion. But Superlek respects Takeru very much because he is considered a K-1 champion and a top-level boxer in Japan. -He fought in front of the entire stadium of Japanese boxing fans who were ready to cheer for his opponent for all 5 rounds, which was not an easy situation to overcome. I watched the whole fight and I'm very impressed that Takeru survived five rounds of those leg kicks by SuperLek but if it was Muay Thai Takeru would've been finished in first or second round so even if Takeru won the kickboxing match, I would not be surprised since SuperLek is better in Muay Thai. I’m neither Thai or Japanese so I’m unbiased when I say Takeru got completely outclassed by Superlek. People are also overestimating that flurry in the 3rd round also. Superlek wasn’t that hurt by his punches. He was never wobbling or looked dizzy or hurt after the flurry and to be honest Takeru was also missing a lot of his punches or getting them blocked if you watch closely. Takeru’s problem besides also not checking leg kicks is he only has a right cross and a left and right hook. He has no jab or uppercuts and he doesn’t mix head and body shots well. So if the first punch is to the head the rest will probably also be to the head and you can just block and duck underneath them all. Just like when he sparred Nong-O and fought Tenshin they both were popping him in the face with jabs and straights and he didn’t have a real answer because he’s used to just walking in and trying to brawl or throw power shots with no setups. That’s why Superlek was able to control him and keep him away with teeps and jabs and when he would walk in with his high guard Superlek would just knee him to the body and push off.

Takeru has earned the honor and respect from the people around the world from his fighting spirit shown. Fighters like Chingiz are too scared to leave their comfort zone and fight under muaythai rules. Muaythai as a sport is a more complete form of striking so not sure why some say Chingiz is the best striker in the world whilst Superlek has dominated both muaythai and kickboxing. Superlek for me is the best striker today.
