Why wasn't anyone calling 911 when Pa Kent had a heart attack? Let me give you the answer as a denizen of Wall, South Dakota, US (pop. 700). The Kent Farm location is stunningly similar to my family ranchland. It wouldn't matter if they called a doctor. Given what we see in the film, the local doctor is probably an hour away. Fortunately, it wasn't winter, or they might have been entirely cut off from civilization for 2-4 months. In isolated parts of the rural US, you learn enough first aid to keep someone alive long enough to load them into a pickup and floor it into town. In our area, rattlesnakes are a problem. By age 3, I knew how to self-treat a rattlesnake bite so I could make it back to the house and get shoved into a pickup. I'm Gen-X. When I visited the ranch every summer as a child, my Greatest Generation grandparents treated me as they had my Boomer parents. They pretty easily put me to work every day. Down time was my own. That often meant taking my father's old horse Babe and riding wherever my nose took me. I don't remember how old I was when I first rode a horse unsupervised. It must have been pretty early, because I was in my first cattle drive at age 5. The memories of that are burned into my mind, particularly immediately after we got the cattle to their new field. You see, in my family you didn't get a saddle until you could skillfully ride bareback. I was an excellent rider even at age 5. A cattle drive means keeping a lot of livestock moving in a more-or-less organized fashion. In the modern era, pickup trucks can do a lot, but nothing will replace the horse in terrain that a pickup can't navigate. I rode bareback the entire drive, and I turned down all suggestions that I get into one of the pickups. In my child's mind, I'd seen my parents, uncles, and aunt doing crazy/stupid things that you leave to 20-somethings. I explicitly recall one of my uncles chasing a recalcitrant cow through very rough terrain. I felt I had to do my part. Looking back from nearly 60, older than both my Boomer parents and Greatest Generation grandparents at that time, I suspect that at least one of the adults had been told to keep an eye on me. Their suggestions that I get into a pickup were probably out of fear that I'd emulate the Boomers and get myself killed. In any case, we arrived at the new field. I immediately hung a left and rode the 50 yards to the Cheyenne River. I dismounted and waded in without bothering to take off any clothes. I had, after all, spent the better part of 15 hours on a horse with no saddle. Unbidden, Babe followed me into the river, and for the same reason. But I digress. Ultimately, the answer to your question is: "If you don’t do something out there, it don't get done." The average American cattle rancher is at once athletic, a small businessman, a veterinarian, and a first responder. For example, one of my uncles didn't wait to get to the hospital to be born, and was delivered in a pickup truck by my grandfather. You have to be prepared for everything from below-zero (Fahrenheit) winters to floods to tornadoes to rattlesnake bites. You have to be prepared to rescue your neighbors from anything potentially deadly. "If you don’t do something out there, it don’t get done."

Superman is the first and most widely known superhero of all-time. It was the first movie I remember watching in theaters when I was 4 years old. This movie is pretty much the template for every comic book movie that we have now.

Great movie. Superman is my favorite superhero of all time. This movie is the first modern superhero movie that started the all superhero genre. You should also see Superman 2 the theatrical version not the Donner Cut (which is incomplete and completely ruin the first movie) . Christopher Reeve Rip is the gold standard of playing both Superman and Clark Kent no one else ever come close.

This “extended cut” as it’s called was first broadcast on ABC in 1982. Because this cut was over three hours long, it was spread out over two nights. In 2001, almost twenty years later; when Warner Bros. was reissuing all four Superman movies for DVD, Richard Donner (RIP) decided to make a special edition of Superman using some of the footage of the extended TV cut, as well as an improved audio mix and a restored picture quality.

On the whole, this character's origin story is an intriguing one. All of Superman's powers and abilities were present when he was born on the planet Krypton. However, on earth, the solar radiation from the sun amplified and enhanced his powers, granting him immense amounts of strength and speed. Clark Kent disguises himself as a socially invisible character with a different image from Superman to avoid people realizing he's Superman: (which of course in reality you would by height and voice but of course we don't question that in the story we just roll with it) 1. Glasses: Clark wears glasses to cover his face. 2. Posture: He squats and hunches. 3. Hair: He has a different hairstyle. 4. Voice: He speaks a slightly higher tone of voice. 5. Confidence: He doesn't have as much confidence as Superman. There's a a few explanations for why people don't see though Clark Kent's disguise: Hypnotizing beam: The official DC comics explanation is that Superman uses special glasses with kryptonite lenses to focus on a hypnotizing beam. Face blindness: Many of Clark's co-workers have seen both him and Superman on the same day without realising it. This could be due to widespread face blindness, or prosopagnosia. As for villain Lex Luthor there's been different origins of his story over the years as to why he's bald but in the original comics he was working on an experiment but an explosion erupts cause a radiation blast causing the loss of his hair and blamed and hated Superman for it.

1:23:30 - Superman flies so much fast here (probably, faster than light) so he moves back in time. And we see that movement as Earth rotating backwards, dam restoring itself, etc. It's not that rotating Earth backwards reverses time. Many viewers were confused by that.

In 1978, Clark interacting with his Krypton father Jor-El was hard to explain. Today, we can imagine this is done through AI. When Clark asks a question, the (very advanced krypton) AI program decodes it (like Alexa or your phone), seeks an answer from a huge knowledge database, and tell that answer using Jor-El face and voice.

When the person making the Reaction Video Speaks More than the Characters in the Movie, then it's Obvious to the Viewers that you are Not Truly Paying Attention to the Film. This means that a lot of the details of the story and the character development is going to be ignored or it goes over your head. The Greatest Part of the enjoyment of watching Reaction Videos is us seeing it through your Eyes and None of us would've been talking for the entire movie when we first saw it. You need to tone it down a little bit

It's funny how confused you are about all the Superman history, I learned all this stuff 55 years ago when I was 10 years old in 1970, from comic books. Supermans Father is Marlon Brando, a very famous hollywood actor. The planet Krypton was destroyed as they sent the Superman baby to earth, and the only thing that can hurt Superman is kryptonite.

You need to watch Superman Ii to complete a story. Please note PART 2 has has 2 versions. Why ? The Producers were not happy with the original Director (Richard Donner). So they fired the original Director (Donner) and hired a new Director (Fletcher). Worse, because Marlon Brando who played Superman's father is a huge Star, Brando charges so much talent fee. So in part 2 , the Producers removed all of Jor El's /Brando's scenes which are actually very very important to part 2 story. So what was released on the cinemas was directed by a different Director and does not have Jor El. The consequence is that although this version is more entertaining (because it has a better budget and flow of story), you will notice there are big questions that was left unanswered. Years later, the Producers did allow Donner to finish his version (Donner cut). And since Marlon Brando has passed since then, this version reinstated the very crucial missing scenes that explains everything. Soooo... I recommend you watch first the Theatrical version (Directed by Fletcher). Then afterward, watch Donner version to complete the sorry.

The clear crystals that were around the ship were the programing as to where to go what do for feeding and cleaning him. Keeping him healthy and educating him in a subconscious level to be recalled later in his development. The green one was his AI version on his father and all the knowledge of the 28 known galaxies the Kryptonian civilization had acquired as well as instruction to build a fortress of solitude to keep and protect Kal El as he learned rested and could feel as he was in Krypton as he did all of that. Humans learn with light and sound we absorb knowledge (reading, hearing lectures so on) Kryptonians absorb in a similar way, but faster short sounds or flashes of light can covey entire libraries of instruction. That is how the green crystal informed him what he had to do, go north.
