It's the Smallville music used in Superman the movie and the main title -- reorchestrated. This might be in the film, but I don't think it's the main title. Hopefully, the main title will be the standard Williams main title. There's nothing Zimmer about this -- thank God! 😂

It's really early in Australia and yet your hair is Superman-Epic :) Thank you for sharing the animated-and-scored poster and teaser teaser, and your excitement. Very cool that you led with your own poster. Best humble-brag establishment of context for the new poster. I'm pretty cynical but I can't deny the frisson I got when I recognized the classic leitmotif in the audio. I know it doesn't mean we'll get that in the film, or that if we do it'll be any more obvious than that, but just that was a little gift that adds to my belief that James Gunn understands the assignment. BTW, I generally don't like the short-attention-span practice of the three-second hook at the top of a video, but yours almost always make me smile.

One reason why the suit would look baggier on set is to allow for freedom of movement in scenes that require it. There are usually multiple suits with different looks for different needs, and they smooth it all out in post. You can find examples of the Civil War Black Panther suit that look dramatically different from what ended up on screen.

Theme seems its own thing, bringing in Zimmer’s Flight theme, with JW’s classic theme. However it’s WAY more than the sum of its parts. Also the poster, I’m seeing a modern take on the Bob Peake ‘79 posters. Also The teaser of a teaser with the camera rotating down onto the logo, the captions are in a VERY similar font/colour to the swooping credit sequence to Donner’s original. This movie is in safe hands.

Been whistling & humming that theme all day, I assume that's gonna be the case till Thursday. As for the suit. Just looks more awesome every time Ive seen it. I love it overall. Yet no doubt it edited to look a little better for the poster. I'm sure, that's just a given with all posters. Still looks sick though in my opinion. & What I wanted and expected. A more true, comic accurate Superman look but Witt Gunn's Flavor to it. So I've been happy with it As for the poster overall I love it! It's simplistic. It had an old school vibe it it. Oh gosh, is it that time?! YEAHHHHHH!!! 😃 I'm excited to see this movie! As a big fan of Superman and growing up with the DVDs (seeing both Christopher Reeve and Brandon Routh having their fun in adventures), I'm curious to know what David Corenswet has in store for the new Superman. I have faith in James Gunn that will do Superman truth and justice (yes, pun intended. 🤣) As for the poster, I'm getting Christopher Reeve vibes by seeing David Corenswet looking up in the sky and hearing the faint, slow and hopeful Superman theme some by John Murphy, it's telling me that the Man of Steel is about to make an unforgettable return to the big screen, kinda like how Superman Returns did that in 2006. Knowing that the movie is coming out sometime next year, I'm DEFINITELY going to see it in theatres! 😁 And when you talk about the Superman logo being circled around, I'm not entirely sure if it's called a plaque or something. Nonetheless, it looks good. 🤔 Also, nice photo of you dressed as Reeve! 💙

I love the poster a lot! And the music feels like a blend of Hans Zimmer and John Williams whilst still sounding familiar but new. Just from the poster and the score alone it feels like something completely different from Gunn’s usual tone compared to the Guardians Films or TSS. I personally hate that the theme that was released today was just the John Williams theme but played differently. In my opinion, not all themes and melodies are universal for different iterations of a character. I only associate the Williams Superman theme with Christopher Reeve; not Superman in general. Also, when you just use a previous theme for a new iteration of a character instead of creating a new theme, it just reeks of the feeling that they have nothing new to offer.

I don't think the first part is so much a nod to Zimmer as it is a rendition of the melody lines from Leaving Home from the Williams score, and of course the main theme as well. The Leaving Home melody line has always been one of my favorites from the Williams score and I heard it here right away. Mostly because I've always hummed it.
