IMPORTANT FACT: files for this game actually became corrupted late in development which converted many of the pixels to a default blue. The programmers had to painstakingly recolor all of these pixels individually, which is why some refer to this game as a ‘Blue Harvest’

@@Eternity909 Couple of reasons... aging tech (right at the end of the PS4 era), expectation that it was going to be open world like Forza Horizon/NFS, the nature of doing story/combat like Uncharted but with cars However... good things that happened... it sold really well as soon as F9 came out, multiplayer and the DLC was great, a sequel was designed, and it ultimately paid off my mortgage!

You know, KZbinr minimme was something of a fan of the game. Compared to many, he found the odd experience positive. I still gotta give you props on what must've been a weird ass thing to develop in a hellish time. And I can only wonder how you and the rest of the devs felt about the game being the final big announcement at The Game Awards

I own this game. I got it because my cat somehow managed to push a 24” tube TV off the TV stand which crashed onto my Nintendo 64. 1080 Snowboarding was in the N64 and took the brunt of the TV, smashing into a 90 degree angle. The N64 was fine snd still works to this day. But my parents were like, “Ok, since the cat pushed a TV onto your game and smashed it into a 90 degree angle, we’ll take you to Toys’R’Us and buy you another copy. So while I was at the store, I had the genius idea, “Well, I’ve already played the crap out of 1080 Snowboarding. Why don’t I choose a different game instead?” I choose Superman 64. And the first day playing it I thought, “This game is terrible. I’d rather play 1080 Snowboarding.”

Even the gamecube has survived insane drops, that would fry anything PS or Xbox. I credit the all-plastic design + low weight. The way you stop the bombs is by using your freeze breath. I remember wanting this game so badly when I was a kid; it got delayed so I got the walkthrough guide book for Christmas instead. When I finally did get the game, it was so bad. Where the guide book says the game ends is not where it ends at all. It took forever to figure out how to complete it and then it just unceremoniously ends.

I remember I was a fan of the show, and a friend had this game when we were like 7, I would go to his house and everytime ask him to play the game, he would just refuse with no explanation at all, until one day I begged him and he angrily agreed, and man, i was not prepared for the empty void of floating rings, i think my excitement lasted less than 1 minute.

I know the boys need bigsandwich content, but I genuinely miss the video game iteration of CoG. I loved the sprite versions of them sitting MST3K style in front of the screen, I loved the chiptune version of the theme, and it's also just nice to get some varied content on the main KZbin feed. Seriously, I have rewatched that "Tatooine Bee" episode countless times.

I'm pretty sure the game you couldn't remember the name of is Prototype where you fly around and shapeshift but can see the whole city and have many enemies to fight. (and is very fun to an extent but gameplay still gets repetitive when you're so superpowered but it's 100x better than Superman 64 which I actually tried to see how bad it is and it's really bad)

Both Megaton Rainfall and Undefeated are GREAT proofs of concept of what a great Superman could be. I've spent hours just flying around in Undefeated, it really is the best Superman-style flying I've ever experienced in a game (better than any of the actual Superman games, including Superman Returns). Just imagine how incredible a Superman game with these controls and the scale and budget of one of Insomniac's Spider-Man games could be.

When I was a little kid, I had trouble with balance while riding a bike and my parents were trying to wean me off of training wheels. They took me somewhere with a hill and told me that if I rode down the hill with no training wheels, they will get me Superman 64 as a reward. I did ok, I think I feel like twice, but I’m pretty sure my parents bought the game ahead of time. When we eventually played it, my parents felt bad because they got me the worst game of all time 😂.

Dunno if you guys covered the Superman Returns game, its the closest thing to a good Superman game IMO. You have to use cheats to get rid of the city's healthbar, but after that, its just a lot of fun zipping around, beating up robots, and taking 50 people to the hospital everytime you beat up said robots lol
