That scene where Batman and Superman are walking through the sewers could've been a perfect place to reference them playing ball together in the distant past as a way, not only to lighten the mood, but provide context for the strong relationship of the characters.

I hate the animosity that Superman fans have against Batman, yet I totally get it. They are two of my favourite heroes. Batman has always been my number one, and as a teenager i hated Supes but I was ignorant. I started reading and watching and learning more about Supes. Superman is one of my favourite heroes! Yes i hate how he is undermined in media, BUT i also hate the remarks against Batman for being a hero how “oh it must be batman hes so good” in a sarcastic tone. Enjoy them both, man!! Batman and Superman are the greatest characters in fiction!

This was also among he first comics I ever read. But I like the movies and consider many of the changes improvements. I particularity support removing the Superman from the Future, I found this comic's use of that trope annoying and pointless. Something else I hated in the book was the forced drama with Metallo possibly being the Wayne's killer. I'm also fine with moving the scene with the Batfamily and Super Family. That's a scene you had to have a comics that's the main continuity, you expect them to do something. But in a stand alone film it really us just a scene that achieves nothing. The scene of Bruce and Clark first meeting is there because that individual issue was the pilot of an ongoing team up book, it's really not part of this specific story. Like-wise the movie's start is needed since this was a standalone and not part of an ongoing continuity. You cna still imagine the amount of time Lex was President was the same. What I don't like is them removing Katana while keeping Powergirl's role, the idea was one was a Superman ally and one was a Batman ally. Either Keep Katana or replace with her with like Huntress. The other differences are mostly just nitpicks. I think both this and it's sequel are similar to Digibro's issues with the Jojo Anime. Directly mimicking a Comic's Artstyle and Character Designs without concern for how to make them work in Animation.

Damn, nailed all my thoughts pretty soundly after watching the video. Even the comic and this story itself is not good in the first place, and for all its flaws, the movie streamlines out most of the BS. Luthor wanting Superman arrested because a kryptonite meteor is coming to Earth and most of the superheroes siding with him, was so damn dumb. Being framed for killing Corbin atleast made a semblance of sense.

I gotta say, they really improved the Public Enemies storyline. Characters have more agency. Like the only thing Amanda Waller does in the comic is get kissed by Luthor. The movie has her give important information and tries to have Lex arrested.

Maybe. I'm really happy with how this video turned out but it took a lot of effort and a long time to make. I would like to make more, it's just considering how long it takes to make these coupled with the fact that I don't think a whole lot of people would watch these videos I don't know if it's worth the effort.

I like the movie and love the comic, it was the first comic I've read. Though some moments from the comic are good, I understand they are kinda "complex" to fit in a standalone film, plus they have a rule or is part of the budget, idk someone more enlightened can provide more information, that the movies can't go past a runtime, for some reason we don't have like a three hour animation, either they cut stuff or make a "part 2". Back to the "complex" and runtime, maybe future Superman fits here, like I said, though it is cool they have a runtime they can't go past. My only grievance is the removal of the batfamily / superman family siege, it's a sin they didn't include that, but I might have a bias since imo it was the coolest part of the comic. Don't know why they changed Katana's role as isn't something it would take much of the runtime. John's absence was probably to not confuse people that just watch the animations, remember the movie came a few years after the end of JLU. And Captain Atom should pilot the robot as he's the logic choice. Other than that, the other changes don't bother me that much, guess the fight Superman/Batman vs Hawkman/Shazam was more epic in the comics, but that's it.

Personally, I like and dislike some of the changes. I think they should’ve kept Katana with Batman and Superman along with Powergirl. As well as Captain Atom being the one who pilots the robot. They also should’ve kept some of the comic scenery and fight scenes, like the snowy mountains instead of the desert. They also could’ve kept their origin stuff in the beginning with them playing baseball together. What I’m glad that was changed was how the Future Superman and Apocalypse stuff was cut out, as I personally feel like they’re unnecessary plot lines for the movie. I also think the sub-plot for the Wayne’s is also a little weird. But Lex getting to Batman and back and forth is cool. GL being out of the gov team makes sense, although they should’ve took Starfire out too because why is she working with the gov lol. Overall I feel like there can be a perfect middle-ground between both stories.

I thought the moive was just ok, average. The main weakness of the movie, for me, is the plot. It is predictable and shallow, Batman and Superman band together to defeat Lex and stop a meteor. That's it. No real twists are provided or anything Batman and Superman in the movie also don't appear to share much of a connection. After hearing about the comic however it seems far superior establishing a much stronger bond between the dark knight and Superman, making it more believable that these two have known each other for years as well as having a more complex story where things aren't as clear, which is more interesting.

I just did a review on the movie and even pointed out that the film was a lot like the 1993 film The Fugitive and even pointed how the film was kind of like a good cop bad cop film and even pointing out some things deferent from the comic book story

I read some of the Avengers and Secret War stuff but in the end there was too much and I honestly didn't care about it that much so you'll have to ask someone else or search it up. Batman is probably the best overall New 52 series. If you're talking about what I think you're talking about there is no difference, last son and last son of Krypton are the same.

What I don't get about the book was that Superman said Captain Marvel had advantage toe-to-toe yet every other time they fought was toe-to-toe and Superman even won some fights. It just doesn't make sense.

Honestly I don't like either version.Ironically the book is more about Batman than Superman, the movie was more about Superman.Why because in the film its asking questions about Superman and Lex's relationship but all comes down too are dumb action scenes. In the book its about John Corben being apart of Wayne murders.Having a sub plot about the Wayne murders just feels like forced reason to have Batman in the story.I will give the book points for having Lois interview Lex but when you hear how Lex presidency was supposed to end is a million times better than what we got.Which was not Superman vs Lex but Clark Kent vs Lex Luthor and that would have been interesting rather than some generic action comic that could have been any story.Its the same problem with the Cadmus arc in Justice League Unlimited you have an amazing build up about Lex Luthor and Cadmus and question if the League is doing the right thing and the ending should not have been boiled down to a big fight and it did same with this although JLU Cadmus finale had some good stuff in there can't say the same for this.

Maybe,but the future thing but that was so out of place and again a weird place to put in the end of Luthor being president.And Luthor trying kill Superman is every Luthor vs Superman story, you know whats a rarity Clark Kent taking on Lex.Why is it best to to it here,because Superman can't takedown President Luthor with his fists that goes against his code of conduct.Having Clark Kent use the power of press to take down Lex goes with his code of conduct.I would rather that story than boiling down to a giant fight especially because the whole point of Lex being president is because Superman as shown in other stories can't punch politics in the face.

Oh my lord this video's nitpciking is annoying. The book isn't better. Just because it works on page doesn't mean it works on screen. This guy littetly is nitpicking every detail like he wants it to be exactly like the book word for word and detail for detail. Like seriously he cares that Luthor's eyes are blue instead of green? I'm pretty sure they're usually blue anyways. Future Superman was pretty stupid. I thought that when i 1st read this book. The only things the movie should have had was Green Lantern, and maybe the Bat family break in. Even so they only have like 70mins so they clearly have to adapt it. And honestly it's not even that different. It's pretty accurate. DC movies nowadays are waaaaay worse. Take Court of Owls, or Son of Batman for example.
