Up until this scene, I'd agree. But when Cyborg confronts him, it becomes clear... Supes didn't slaughter those people because they attacked him. They certainly never posed a physical threat either. No, Superman burnt 250 people to ash just because they _insulted_ him. Because they disrespected him. No other reason. And that feels very much like a Homelander take.

He didn’t become a murderer overnight First he killed the Joker, and rightfully so Days after that he called for the world cease fire from wars because it would cause less death, while not a total solution to the situations that caused the wars it could still be argued to be done out of good intentions Then his parents were kidnapped as a result in order to try to blackmail him to lay off so he and his minions hunted down the guy and threatened to kill him if he didn’t comply with getting his parents back. Again, rightfully so But then he killed Oliver Queen for accidentally hurting Jonathan when HE KNEW Ollie didn’t mean to and it was a mass decline from there Point is. Superman’s insanity wasn’t over night, it was a process that kept getting worse and worse while he kept reassuring himself that it was for peace

While Injustice Superman does some terrible things, he isn’t Homelander. He still feels emotions such as guilt and remorse. Homelander, is a petty, jealous, sadistic man baby that kills, rapes and tortures for his own amusement. He has no conscious, no guilt, no remorse. Injustice superman is unquestionably the more powerful of the two but if i was gonna be locked in a room with one for an hour I’d rather spend that time with Superman.
