Because this was so popular on my previous channel. I'll upload this back up. Instead of the normal intro, I used the Planet Krypton intro for this. Much better in my opinion.
Music composed by John Williams.

It represents the magnificence of a long forgotten civilization that once thrived before its downfall. The pinnacle of supreme intelligence of a people whose shortsightedness led them to utter destruction. One can say that, even their own collective agreements and disagreements is synonymous to our own here on earth. No one is infallible from death. Not even Kal-el.

Jesus Christ The beginning of this song Planet krypton just Empathises John Williams Genius as an Epic composer from beginning to End. I fucking love it. It Makes me feel massive in this world, Like the Galaxies and stars are in my bound and at every mans Reach. It makes the universe and Life seem that little bit more Gigantic and beautifully wonderful and mysterious if you know what I mean. John Williams is defiantly one of the best musical composer for films of are generation I think. I believe. And the beginning of this score Makes superman and john William seem Like There GODS!! Its So God-Damn Epic. Its one of the many of reason on why I believe humans have souls xD I mean how can we create such fucking brilliance as the like of this. Its wonderful and I think I just came in my pants from all the Epicnes .

yeah, usually as he grows up he absorbs more energy from the Sun and gets stronger. That's really why general Zod shouldn't be a problem, Superman has a huge head start on the solar energy. That logic doesn't make for a good movie though. Eval999 never said how old Supe was when he was bruised by bullets.

This rendition is far better than when Mr. Wiiliams conducted it with the London Philharmonic in that the rhythmic texture is treated in a far more marcato vein; henceforth giving the listening experience more cohesion to the musically uneducated populous of movie goers. In addition, please notice that "Krypton" is treated with far more metronomic precision and less of a "quasi" feel making the phrase easier to detect; the work is in quadruple/simple with the trumpet solo entering on beat 3 of the phrase, not beat 1. This sets the rest of the brass to also enter on beat 3 of the phrase as well. Great craft in writing on Mr. Williams behalf.

In twenty years, no one will remember Hans Zimmer's Superman theme. Just like no one really remembers his Dark Knight music. Hell I saw the movie a week ago and I already forget the music. I like Hans Zimmer; but, John Williams makes iconic themes. Thirty-five years later and people can instantly recognize William's Superman themes. Just as they can instantly recognize Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Recognizing that does not make us "nostalgia dorks".

I think when you say campy, you mean grandiose. This theme is epic, it has a grand scope & sense of importance. Its balances the light playful side of the comic book character, & the larger than life performance of Christopher Reeve (RIP). John Williams has done some of the greatest themes in the history of adventure films including Star Wars & Indiana Jones. Imagine if they changed the classic Star Wars theme for the new film. They wouldnt because its classic, and so is the theme for Superman.

I can understand your point but the things you mentioned didn't bother me. I thought it was nice to see Bruce finding a way out from Batman. It was pretty well set up across three films too. At the end of BB Rachel turns Bruce down because the Batman is his real mask. In TDK Bruce asks if Rachel still meant what he she said. If Bruce could find someone else (Harvey) so the Batman wouldn't be needed anymore. So yeah Nolan made big changes but I liked the execution.

I disagree, I think Nolan injected some really good pathos into his Batman. The first hour of The Dark Knight Rises was good set-up and I liked how it used Frank Miller's Returns storyline, the whole Bruce Wayne being Howard Hughes...I thought it was well executed. I loved the ending despite knowing full well that Batman in the comics would carry on fighting till the day he died. I loved Batman: TAS and the Arkham games and I think Nolan's Batman (albeit different) is in the same league.
@MasterMacLeod
@MasterMacLeod 11 жыл бұрын
Batman was confident in Gordon because Gordon would let him continue in his quest against injustice. At least that was what the ending implied. Also, Batman never meant a quest against organized crime only, he was a crimefighter period. No, Nolan wasn't anywhere close with his Batman, a cool vigilante, sure, but never the one you see in (for example) the Arkham games or the TAS one.
@Bloggerboy1000
@Bloggerboy1000 11 жыл бұрын
Cops hate cop killers. "You'll hunt me, send the dogs on me because that's what needs to happen." Gordon mentions in his speech that because of the Dent act there's no more organized crime. Blake makes a joke about looking for overdue library books. Also dialogue like "he's a war hero" "this is peace time" would lend some proof that things are alright in Gotham. Batman wasn't needed anymore but he returned immediately when he was needed. I think Nolan got really close in his interpretation.
@MasterMacLeod
@MasterMacLeod 11 жыл бұрын
You really think he was being hunted "more viciously than ever"?? With Gordon in charge? They even talk about it when they agree on it at the end of TDK. Now, there is no more organized crime? How can they be so sure? And why does Batman only care about organized crime when he stops crime period? Don't get me wrong, I like Caine as much as the next guy, but no, Nolan didn't really get what Batman means in the end.
@Bloggerboy1000
@Bloggerboy1000 11 жыл бұрын
Bruce quit because he was hunted down more viciously than ever, I assume he was wounded very badly during that fall at the end of TDK too. After the Dent Act there was no more organized crime. When Daggett brought Bane (the first legimitate threat in 8 years) to Gotham Bruce was ready for action The Nolan Batman trilogy was a critical and box office success part of it was because of the casting, more specifically Michael Caine.
@Bloggerboy1000
@Bloggerboy1000 11 жыл бұрын
Again, Batman, cop killer, manhunt of great proportions. Foley orders everyone to go after the man who killed Harvey Dent instead of some robber. In the third movie there was no organized crime but Alfred states Bruce was just waiting for things to get worse. Bruce returns as Batman before he learns that Rachel wasn't going to wait for him. I think that's pretty telling. I liked Alfred in both versions, as different as they were. You can't make a bitch out of My Cocaine.

But the word was out there from day 1 to catch the Batman yet he was able to avoid it. There is no justification in his hiding this way, the movie makes it obvious he quit because RAAAAAAAAACHEEEEEEEELLLLL was dead. And you really should go back and compared BTAS Alfred with TDK Alfred. One stands by Bruce's side and is proud of his son, the other is a whiny bitch who says Bruce is insane.

There's a difference between being a vigilante and being a cop killer. One could also argue that more escalation happened in the form of the Dent act where some criminals were sentenced without proper due process. I also interpreted that after Bruce took a fall he was badly hurt resulting in using a cane. The magical knee brace and how Bruce got his back fixed are problems though. I found the banter no worse than Alfred berating Bruce for using the Tumbler the first time.

Batman being hunted down at the end of The Dark Knight. Harvey's death resulting in the Dent act and the end of organized crime in Gotham. Blake makes a joke about the GCPD going after overdue library books. Alfred being afraid, not that Bruce would die but that he wants to go back to his life as Batman. You say they whine I say they have conflict and drama. The falling out was a natural outcome of TDK. Made sense. I didn't say the movies were faithful, I said they were well executed.

You can't tell people to listen to other film scores, people (including myself) just like to listen the old theme, it doesn't make us dorks. You don't like it that's fine everyone is entitled just don't tell to listen to anything, and the original superman films weren't a joke, it was he 70s they weren't good visual effects, it was the first superman franchise. But people loved it Christopher Reeve made Superman if it wasn't for that Man of Steel wouldn't be here even though i love Man of Steel.

While I do agree that it is epic, he does have a point. They didn't use this theme in the new one because its a totally different movie then the Christopher Reeve (RIP) movies. This one fit the Donner movies because they were lighthearted and fun. The new one is a complete reboot with a more serious and dark undertone (or overtone, however you look at it.) I like both. I think they convey the tone of each movie right. This one is awe-inspiring while the new one is hope inspiring. My 2 cents lol

The police aren't going to put all their effort in catching a dude who is helping them. But if that same vigilante is responsible for taking out their own it makes a whole world of difference. Cop killers are hated more than others. The cartilage thing is a flaw I agree. We'll just have to disagree on Alfred. I thought his arc in the last movie was fine.

his body acts like a battery for solar energy as he grows up his body can absorb more energy making it plausible for his various powers to manifest over time strength and speed come first is a given, durability comes next look at Smallville Clark was unaware of his invulnerability untill he got hit by lex's car bullets at first left bruises and so on

Sounds like you're confusing Superman with Tim Burton's Batman. Donner's Superman did have a choice: Lois or the world. Tim Burton's Batman, on the other hand, had all the women, always knew what to do, and didn't have to worry about the pressure of being responsible for the entire world.

It seems you don't get my point about liking Nolan's films DESPITE them being radically different from the source material. I get that to you Bruce retiring is betrayl but I don't know what to tell ya. I hope you enjoy the next movie incarnation of Batman better. And Arkham Origins will be out soon.

No it is not nice to have Bruce finding a way out of Batman. Bruce died when his parents died. Batman was born that day, without a definite shape until he reached adulthood, but the Dark Knight took over and BW was only a vessel. It seems you don't get the point of Batman either.

Rick, couldn't agree more -not having the John Williams theme leaves a huge part of any Superman film out. Still, 'Man of Steel' was meant to be a reboot for the character, sort of what Nolan's 'Batman Begins' did for the Caped Crusader. So can you blame Zac Synder for leaving the theme out?

Batman was being hunted down since the black guy was the commisioner, don't give me that crap. And when he returned it certainly didn't matter he was being hunted down. Drama is dealing with cancer. Whining and bitching is just that, whining and bitching.

Maybe not...He chose his own path when he sided with planet Earth, and that path culminated in the death of Zod. You could see him struggle and cry out, with pain not because he was forced to, but because his path was that difficult.

No it didn't make any fucking sense. Bats quits 8 years because he didn't get to tap dat ass, Alfred spends the whole movie (each of them) whining and bitching, Bats is hardly a detective. Cool movies, yes. Faithful movies, hardly.

Are you f**king kidding me ? Hans Zimmer has created music which makes Superman a man from our times! The old music would fit with the then Superman, who was nothing more than a boring little superhero who could never be beaten!

The original Superman movies (Part 1 and 2) surpass the new one by far. A lot of people did not like Superman Returns, other than the baby story line, I liked it way more than the new one. And yes, this music should of been used.

Bruce returns as Batman because there's no point in waiting for someone who's dead. Yet he still quit because of her, it's illogical to think there was 0% crime rate in Gotham after TDK. And yes, My Cocaine has had his bombs.
