2:41 This is someone i love about this trailer and what james gunn does. He understands the characters. Superman does bleed. He's not some god with limitless power he is just as human as any other person raised on earth. Yeah, he can lift cars and jump over building, but deep down, he is just like you and me.

It caught my attention immediately! Bleeding and gasping like that? Really grabs your attention. Last time I saw a Superman that hurt... jeepers... must have been Clark Kent being hung up in a cornfield by the bullies in Smallville. That happened, right?

Im so hyped for the new dc universe. james gun is building, especially as a dc fan.

Very to cool to hear from someone who isn't in the know of anything. This is a new start somewhat, the universe was said to have reset after the flash film.

Why can superman not bleed?? He bleed in comics books... This is what i don't understand about ppl asking that question.. Yes... Hes going to bleed... Just like in the comics books and the first Superman movies.. he bleed...

@@lynnoserb1228 I haven't read the comics. But it still just looks odd to me, to see Superman bleeding and dying but there's no kryptonite around.

@@LittleMissEnchanted you think it's a good place to jump back in to superhero movies? Or do you just have faith in the director? I did like Guardians 1 and 2.

Yeah, this is part of a new universe. The old one is done. But the elsworld projects like the Joker and the batman are still their own thing, not connected to this new one.

@@theRealProfessor_X Think Batman year one, but with Superman. Kal-El aka Clark Kent, has been a symbol of hope for a year, even though he looks miserable in a Universe that’s established with other heroes already existing in it, I think they’re going for a modern day take on DC comics Kingdom Come Superman storyline. To summarize, Supes comes out of retirement to deal with a lot of BS in that storyline. You should definitely check it out, it’s worth a read. In fact, I think James read some comic books about Superman before deciding to make this movie happen. This shows, that he’s not just a director, but a DC and Marvel fan who’s willing to go the extra mile and read the source material and pick the best parts of it for the movie to really pop off well. Snyder didn’t do that, and it shows, his Clark didn’t have a different hairdo whenever he was masking himself as his human persona Clark Kent, and in Superman mode he was treated like a God. Where as Tom Welling, Brandon Routh, and Chris Reeve Supes weren’t made out as such, because their directors and writers knew not to try and pull that BS; since they knew it would suck the fun of those versions if they ever did what Snyder did in his DC Universe. Homie said; let’s make him like a God type, and ruin Superman’s down to Earth I give people hope and actually save people in need persona that made him iconic in the first place, and ruin everything to do with both halves of Clark and Superman in the process while I’m at it.

@@CoolnessNSparksI see, I see. It definitely feels different. And I agree that it is so important for the source material to be read and understand (or watched if it's film). Imagine someone remakes something like... say Harry Potter for example but didn't read the books. Imagine the greatness we can expect. I hope this film does well. Superman fans are very passionate.

@@theRealProfessor_X Fun Fact: the guy who played Punisher in Netflix Punisher series went to a comic book store to brush up on some ideas for how to approach the character, and the comic book store clerk, took the comic books about the punisher that sucked and then let John Berthal keep what remained from those comic books. True story, that clerk also said this to the punisher actor before Jon left the store; Do not mess this up. Homie was acting like Comic book guy from the simpsons from the jump at the time that series was just starting to be filmed on the streaming service, back then.

@CoolnessNSparks thank God for that clerk! He did the right thing. This is part of why the Frank Castle character is so good I think. Sidenote... isn't Bernthall just a great actor? Loved him in Wolf of Wallstreet and TWD of course. I also had fun watching that ma'am teach him DnD.
