He looks younger than Cavills Superman. When i first saw him as Kent I thought he looked too young (almost superboy stage). I think whilst not an origin story, this will be early naive superman. He looks vulnerable in the scene where Lois hugs him. He looks vulnerable in a lot of scenes. I think he’s a young unsure superman. Lois will work out who he is early on and be his rock throughout the film.

Simply put, I absolutely love it! I'm not one to get emotional watching trailers, unless something really *hits* me, and this trailer gave me even more than I could have wanted. This teaser does a great job of showing the DC-world, as well as giving a great idea of the tone and Corenswet's approach to Supes. I think the next trailer will be much more Clark/Superman-focused, then they'll probably do one that's more Luthor-focused. This one definitely felt like a proper introduction to the world of the new DCU, and the way Superman plays within it, and I think it was a brilliant choice for the first teaser. I've been seeing alot of people complaing about "not enough Superman, too many other characters, blah blah blah", but this honestly makes Gunn's vision so much more clear to me. Plus, Superman or Clark is in nearly every shot of the teaser. It's finally the *actual* comics in live-action. It's not shying away from the comic-book elements, at all, unlike virtually every other comic-based cinematic universe. I went back and watched 3 of the Man of Steel trailers to compare and contrast, and there's just no comparison to me. Synder's Superman was always so dull and drab, and Cavill always deserved better. Those MoS trailers really feel pretty "try-hard" compared to the new one. Still a decent score, but it's not enough to prop those trailers up compared to Gunn's. Oh, and the other thing the MoS trailers reminded me of was just how *bad* a pick Amy Adams was for Lois. She *never* felt like Lois to me, and she never acted like Lois. Rachel doesn't even have a line in this teaser and she already embodies the role so much more. Also, Nick Hoult, goddamn, he looks perfect as Luthor.

So, i have a theory. I believe in this scene 2:04, Johnathan Kent is actually telling Clark that he's dying. Form what? I don't know, but if i'm right, it's most likely something superman simply can't fix (Cancer for example). I believe that part of Superman's character arc in this film is accepting that he can't save everyone. But that's just a theory... a FILM THEORY.

@@bennett4789 The mistake wasn’t killing Pa. It was doing so in a forced and excessive way that Clark likely could have prevented. Having Pa die from a heart attack (the usual method) or cancer is a good way to help Clark come to terms with his limitations and how he just can’t save everyone no matter how powerful he is.
