If I may, I'd like to give a theory about what power, if any, Superman gave to the Batman of the future. For anyone that is wondering why Superman One Million didn't resurrect after being killed It's because he was killed by a Demon Lord that was the Embodiment of Unstoppable Destructive Force (that by the way also already consumed Hell and most of The Cosmic Energies/Beings) and had his Soul consumed before he could resurrect By the way that event was also (supposed to have been) cancelled by Time Traveling Shenanigans so Superman One Million is still alive (or for better say never died, because it was cancelled like it never happened)

Think about it, imagine a piston(gravity) pressing down from every possible angle until the pressure and frictional-heat hits the critical level and combusts(fuse) the matter inside the star creating an outward force which presses the piston back, it is then promptly pressed down again by the piston(gravity) as it repeats until the fuel is run-dry and the piston breaks.

Superman 1 Million, in the story, was not killed. He was defeated and fell back into the sun. The bad guy even said he would probably heal but over such a length of time he would not be around to help the future Justice Leagues. I think we have not seen him since because he is kind of a hard character to write. He is basically a problem solver if you want to go all out at how awesome the writer thinks he might be or be used like Worf in Start Trek. Basically appear only to be defeated to show how powerfull whatever villian they were using was.... just like they did in the future event comic.

Now the DC timeline has been changed x times. the present Superman could not know if this future still existed in a week. there was already an unplanned change in time in the One Million Story. Because one of the time machines used was unsuitable for such long journeys. The hope was based on the fact that there is at least one timeline where everything will be fine. A false hope if I remember the current canon correctly. One million was a great story. The maker of the video should have read it.
@FirstnameLastname-my7bz Жыл бұрын
@@Takao0815 Present Superman has NOTHING to do with All-Star Superman (which is alt Superman in general, in the same category as Red Son, Injustice, Frank Miller Year One and others) nor with Golden Superman One Million (which is kinda normal kinda All-Star one). Present Superman exists in this weird amalgam of previous origins, ever since Reborn happened which combined post-Crisis (which on itself is THREE different origins) with new52, and I am sure they can pull up some pre-Crisis stuff as well now. None of them have anything similar with All-Star origin whatsoever. No dead Pa Kent from heart attack while still in Smallville just like in The Movie (only later on, and now reversed as both Kents are alive now after Doomsday Clock but also kinda dead, all depending on last writer's whim really). Normal Superman, unlike All-Star doesn't have this sun energy overload thing to begin with. He countless times flew in close to the sun and he countless times was fine. In fact in Snyder/Jimenez Justice League he literally flew THROUGH multiple suns. Which just made him more powerful, instead of supercancerous All-Star.

As others have said, Superman 1 million isn't nearly strong enough to do some of the feats described. However, there is a version that is, Strange Visitor Superman. Much like Superman Prime 1 million, this superman rested in the sun, not for 10,000 years but for tens of millions of years. Even after splitting himself into a thousand pieces, a single piece was still able to hold all creation together. He outlived everything, and so when the last being died, he left on a journey.

Deep and incredibly inspiring. Crazy how comics can write in the realities of human experience while also making it fantastical that it doesnt bore you. The message of Superman perservering is so tragic yet feels so real at the same time. Maybe that is truly why he is the strongest of the Supermen/women, physically sure but also mentally and emotionally as well.
@alexistaylor969 Жыл бұрын
This right here. The anime 'Boku No Hero Academia' does an homage to this. We get hints when All Might is a Hero being the stand in for Superman, even though he is injured and facing mortality he is still the smiling Superman. Later in the seasons we still get a depowered old All Might but we really mostly only see his imagery portrayed by his golden statue. Inside Deku's mind we see the image of All Might's personality that is in counsel with the others. He is the only one left currently that isn't speaking yet but he is represented by the largest image, while the others are their old hero selves surrounded by a colored aura, All Might is a being of Golden power. Combined with the golden statue of All Might with a sign hung on it saying "I am not here" and his successor Deku fighting on his own symbolizes Superman's desire to leave a mark and leave a symbol of Peace to help the world be a better place than it was before after he is finally gone.
