That being said, it's still stupid, as the reason it's banned in military use (IIRC) is to make it more likely that the shot person can recover. That sounds very much preferable for civilian use.

You'd have to be careful at first and move deliberately slowly so that your feet don't write checks that the rest of your body can't cash, but it seems pretty practical.

If the hollow-point projectile masses 8 grams, and the gun masses 800 grams, and the muzzle-velocity is 1200fps, the recoil velocity will be 12fps (about 13kmh.) What's crazy is that when you are firing the gun, that measly 13kmh recoil feels like an instant "thump".

Superman's Spine. Never have back injuries, always wake up with no aches or pains in your back. You could sleep in the weirdest positions and still wake up fine and great.

Most normal back pain (basically anything that goes away eventually), is actually damage to the ridiculous number of small muscles around the spine. With superman's bones/discs/cord, you'd be protected against some of the late-life back pain. But to stop every day "slept wrong" pain, you'd have to have his spinal muscles. And if you had that, you risk jerking the wrong way and ripping your spine out of your body.
