The thing with doctor fate is those land mine glyphs in the corner could be used to make some hard to bloackable set ups, Super you should look into that since it seems like Doc Fate has a really good safe corner game

Dr Fate us mainly zoning. His offense is meh but he has SOOO MANY abilities that are all really fun to utilize. I use the short combo into push back glyph, the I start my defense game with the Amon Ra blasts, orbs and glyphs. I only use his bubble when trait is on so that I punish my opponent for getting close with dot damage. All in all, he's fun as hell. Good breakdown Super

No hate in Super. None at all...it's just, yes Dr.Fate is a zoning character but wen u activate his trate that is wen he can become and all in offensive character. Watch the official breakdown of Dr.Fate on the I2 channel for what he is really made of. Again no hate to Super but it's just Dr Fate it's just zoning.

One of my own mixups I like to use close range in emergencies (You don’t want to play him close range but just in case) I like 1 1 3 1 2 for a close combo starter

how do you know if a move is safe on block ?

A move is safe on block when the recovery frames of you last attack are less then the startup frames of your enemies attack. He uses safe on block in the sense that the glyph pushes you so far back that even if your opponent were to attack you, you would be too far for them to hit.

Davie Donna everything he showed us is literally all you can do with fate. His game plan is to just chip his opponents health away with his zoning and his short combos. Hopefully in the first gameplay patch we get, they buff his offence and make his combos do more damage and keep his zoning the way it is

Doctor Fate is not a combo character, he's a zoning character. But I do still wish he had some longer combos

Tavis Lin​ I've watched a few combo videos with fate. His plan is to slowly chip his opponents health away with his zoning and his short combos. All his combos lead to like 20-25% damage. If you spend 2 bars you can get 35 to maybe 40% damage which isn't that great for spending 2 bars of meter. The best strategy with fate is to zone your opponent, get them in the corner and then go on the offence with fates many different set ups
